Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge and to my stewards, Jean Hay & Joyce Settlefield, who kept everything running smoothly. Also thank you to the exhibitors for a lovely entry of some quality Smooths. I thought the quality was much improved since my previous appointment at LKA making some of the decisions very close, especially Open Dog and Open Bitch. The main issues are poor angulation leading to a lack of reach and drive on the move. Happily the majority of my winners had good angulation and movement. 

PD (4 1) 1 Lusty's Blamorder Bubble Gum Chum. Just 6 months old and showing a lot of promise. Clean wedge head, very good conformation and bone, easily the best mover in this class, just very immature.  2 Forbes' Natalain Star Lord At Willowhurst. Head is long, lacking in skull. Lacks the angulation of first and could do with more body. Lacks reach and drive on the move. 3 Denton's Brackenhaye Fields Of Gold. Liked this dog, just refused to move today. 

JD (1) 1 Forbes' Natalain Star Lord At Willowhurst. 

LD (1) 1 Hayward's Foxearth Final Countdown. Clean wedge head with flat skull and nice eye and expression. Good angulation and bone, just needs to settle on the move. 

OD (5) 1 Gay's Yagane's Blue Mist. Quality blue merle who has a clean wedge head, flat skull, correct shaped eye and expression. Excellent bone and body, well angulated front and rear enabling him to move with easy ground covering reach and drive - pleased to award him the CC in good competition. 2 French's Ch Foxearth Flock Master For Breckamore JW. Quality tricolour with good wedge head, flat skull,  just preferred eye and expression of first. Well made body with ample bone, moved well. RCC. 3 Hill's Ch Devern Denman. 

VD (3, 1) 1 Russell's Foxearth Fashion Guru For Koczkodan. S/w with clean wedge head, good reach of neck and length of back, moved well to win Best Veteran. 2 Winter & Unwin's Sturtmoor Alexavier Odessy At Snowtrekka ShCM. An - an old favourite of mine, clean wedge head with good eye and expression. Well angulated front and good length of back, just lacking condition today. 

PB (7, 1) 1 Lusty, Williams & Hutchings' Blamorder Ice Cream Dream. Blue merle, at six months still very raw. Good clean wedge head of correct type, good length of neck, well made body with correct angulation front and rear. Moved well to win Best Puppy. 2 Meacham's Blamorder Curlywurley Girly. Tricolour litter sister to winner and has all the virtues, just needs to settle on the move. 3 Denton's Brackenhaye Shape O'My Heart. 

JB (1) 1 Russell's Breckamore Bittersweet For Koczkodan. Stood alone, but a worthy winner. Tricolour with clean wedge head, flat skull topped with good ears used to advantage. Good length of neck and back, just wish she was slightly taller. Moved well. 

PGB (4, 2) 1 Lusty's Foxearth Fly Orchis. Tricolour with clean wedge head, flat skull, nice eye and expression. Really good conformation and movement, covering the ground with ease. 2 Hartley's Foxearth Finnish Spirit At Jimjack ShCM. Tri of nice type, good clean wedge head, good body, just lacking front angulation and length of stride of winner. 

LB (6) 1 Peacock's Blamorder Back To The Start For Saraneth ShCM. Striking tricolour of correct type. Well constructed with good length of neck and back, excellent mover. 2 Lusty's Blamorder Just My Luck. Another good tricolour with many of the same virtues. Just preferred the expression of the winner. 3 Trundley's Juniperwood Joyful. 

OB (6, 2) 1 Hayward's Ch Clingstone's Hot Shot At Foxearth. Outstanding tricolour with clean wedge balanced head with good eye and expression, neat ears used to advantage. Excellent construction and bone, moved really well to win the CC. Her showmanship won her BOB over a quality dog. Was pleased to see that she won the Pastoral Group, well done! 2 Lusty's Juniperwood Just A Dream. Quality tricolour with good wedge head, flat skull. Well constructed with good body and bone, moved really well - won the RCC in good competition. 3 Gay's Yagane's Lavender Mist. 

VB (2, 1) 1 Neff's Ch Hightri Until ShCM. Blue merle with clean wedge head, level topline, would prefer better front angulation, which showed in her movement. Stood and showed well.
