May I thank the officers & committee of the Lancashire & Cheshire Collie Club for inviting me to judge at their prestigious show & for the wonderful hospitality afforded to my grandson & myself. I felt the new venue was stunning & I wish the club well in their new venture. I also thank my stewards who kept the ring moving so well.

PD & JD (0). PGD (2) 1 Bardill’s Plaisance Bailey, well balanced head, good neck & good body. Not the best of colours. Moved quite well; 2 Bell’s Koczkodan Nos Blyth, dog on the big side, good body, good ears & well placed eye. Did not move very well & needs more ring training. LD (4,1a) 1 French’s Breckamore Blushing Groom, upstanding dog. Good wedge head topped by neat ears, good neck, good body & bend of stifle. Moved confidently. RCC; 2 Leach’s Manordeifi Dionysus at Hilltarn, bigger type of dog, lean head & good neck. Would like a better colour & was not keen to show his ears; 3 Russell’s Foxearth Fashion for Koczkodan. OD (3,2) 1 French’s Ch Foxearth Flock Master for Breckamore, lovely type, balanced head topped by well placed ears which he used continually. In great condition & moved effortlessly. CC.

PB (3,1,1w/d) 1 Moore’s Manordeifi Summer Magic, 11 month old puppy, quite mature & I hope she doesn’t grow any more. Lovely body & shape, nice head & well placed eye giving a sweet expression. Moved well. BP. JB (3) 1 White’s Breckamore Bridget Jones, lovely bitch who has made a great start in her show career. Lovely feminine head, good stop, neat ears which she used all the time. Well placed eye giving a sweet expression & moved well. Just needs to mature; 2 M Summer Magic; 3 Forbes’ Willowhurst Vanity. PGB (4) 1 Fort’s Shulune Imperial Storm, very feminine bitch with a lovely head. Sweet eye, neat ears, lovely neck & good body. Moved so well. Just needs to mature. RCC; 2 Moore’s Tomalca Buttons N Bows at Manordeifi, bigger type bitch but still feminine. Good body, nice head with well rounded muzzle. Neat ears, moved well; 3 McKenna & Bardill’s Breckamore Snowberry at Plaisance. LB (3) 1 French’s Breckamore Bang Tidy, nice head, good ears, stop & muzzle. In good condition & moved very well; 2 Hayward’s Foxearth Fly Orchis, another nice bitch who was not all that happy. Pleasing head, good stop & muzzle. Unlucky to meet 1; 3 Russell’s Koczkodan Nos Kerenza. OB (3) 1 Hayward’s Breckamore Fly Me to Foxearth, the star of the show. Truly feminine bitch with a quality head, well shaped eye giving the sweetest of expressions. Lovely shape & good body. Moved well. CC, BOB & RBIS; 2 Russell’s Manordeifi Satin Doll of Koczkodan, tri with nice head, rather fine in foreface. Did not move so well; 3 Roden’s Fortune Cookie from Breakamore.
