Thank you to the British Collie Club for the opportunity to judge at their very friendly, well run ch show. Also many thanks to the exhibitors who came & made my day very enjoyable.
V (4,1a) 1 Forbes’ Ch/Ir/Int Ch Pelgart Paint It Black at Willowhurst, as usual this 9˝ years old tri dog is shown in good coat & condition, although with age now getting a little heavy around the shoulders. His head still handles well with nice eye, although today not showing as well as I know he can. He still moves well with good drive. BV; 2 Trundley’s Juniperwood King Of Kings, tri of 7 years, of good size & body shape, well put together. He has a nice balanced head, good eye & ears but does not make the most of himself. Moved well enough; 3 Lusty’s Juniperwood Dreamaker at Blamorder. JD (1) 1 Trundley’s Blamorder Back To The Future, b/m of good colour who is very much at a juvenile stage who now needs to mature in body. He has a typical head pattern but I would like his ears a little tighter. He was sound in movement. PGD (2) 1 B Back To The Future; 2 Benton’s Oakestelle Sebastian Bach, tri dog, shown in very good coat & condition. Nice make & shape. His head needs to fill out & his stop to clear but he has a nice eye. Well set ears used well. Moved OK. LD (7) 1 Kennedy’s Ryecombe Deb’n Air, well presented s/w, shown in good coat & condition. Nice make & shape, good bone & conformation. He has a balanced head of good length, nice eye & ears which he used to advantage. Very steady mover; 2 Katarzyna’s Cuba Libra Smooth Drinks, up to size s/w. Very well put together & another shown in lovely coat & condition. He has a heavier but balanced head & flat skull. His ears were a little erratic today. Moved OK; 3 J King Of Kings. OD (4) 1 Leikola’s Timonan Clouds Can Catch, an elegant but still masculine s/w dog of 2˝ years. Loved his super outline, good reach of neck & back. He is well put together with good angulation at front & rear. His head handles well, of good length, nice eye & ears which he uses well. Good coat & well presented. Very sound on the move with good reach & drive & so positive in his rear action. I thank his owner for bringing him over & allowing me to judge this lovely young dog again. CC & BOB; 2 Leikola’s Ch Timonan Viking Viggo, shaded s/w of 6 years. More mature dog with good body outline, nice bone & angulations. He has a balanced head with nice eye & ears. Good steady movement & a worthy ch from Finland. Today he stood behind his younger half brother. This owner has two lovely boys. RCC; 3 Hayward’s Ch Foxearth Flintab.
PB (2) A. JB (4,3) 1 Peacock’s Blamorder Back To The Start for Saraneth, very smart, feminine tri. Well presented & shown in lovely black coat & condition. She has a nice overall shape to her with good length of neck & body. Clean head, nice eye, ears which she used to advantage, moved soundly; 2 Forbes’ Willowhurst Vanity, more refined tri with typical head, nice ears used well. She still needs to fill in foreface. Nice body outline, moved well enough; 3 Brown’s Blamorder Back In Town. PGB (6) 1 Norman’s Seanua Serendipity, s/w, almost 2 years of age who is well balanced overall. Nicely put together with good overall conformation, nice bone. Her balanced head handles well with flat skull, nice eye although ears could be tighter. Well presented with good coat & she moved with drive. RCC; 2 Benton’s Oakestelle Venus De Milo, feminine b/m of good clear colour. Nice make & body shape. She is still rather fine in foreface but still has time to mature. Showed herself off well & moves with ease; 3 Trundley’s Juniperwood Joyful. LB (2) 1 Gay’s Yagane Lavender Mist, b/m who although well up to size is still well balanced overall with good front & rear. Her head handles well, with nice eye & well set ears. She shows herself off well & her movement is sound. Could be a better colour; 2 Trundley’s Jubilation, feminine tri with good outline, nice neck & length of back but does not always give her best. She has a clean head but one ear rather heavy spoiling the expression. Movement OK. OB (5,1) 1 Denton’s Kevranna Theras Enate Echo, nice to see this shaded s/w 3 years of age showing so well & with a good rapport with her new owner/handler who certainly gets the best from her. She is a very nice feminine size with good outline, neck & length of back & so well put together. Balanced head, flat skull, dark eye, well used ears. Shown in lovely coat & condition. Very steady mover & one that certainly deserved that 3rd CC, well done. CC; 2 Hayward’s Breckamore Fly Me to Foxearth, young s/w who still needs to mature in body but has a lovely outline with good reach of neck. Nice overall conformation. She has a lovely eye & good ears which she uses well but I would prefer a more refined head. Moved soundly.
