PD (2) 1 & BP Trundley's Blamorder Back to the Future, blue merle, good colour, lovely arched neck, head long and fairly lean in skull, would like a fraction more stop but muzzle of good length and chin finish. Ears a little unsettled as yet but most of the time they were correct. I liked his shoulder and upper arm assembly, adequate bend of stifle and he is certainly fleet footed as he goes around the ring. 2 Bardill's Plaisance Bailey another merle, not yet as clearly silver blue as the winner but he is well marbled with black. He is a good wither height, just about enough neck, excellent spring and depth of rib but at present he can stand and move a shade bum high, so needs toi drop into himself. Definitely male in head, good eyes and ears but again I would like a little more stop. Not as settled as 1 on the move. In good coat.
JD (2) 1 B. Back to the Future. 2 Benton & Wood's Oakestelle Vivaldi, a shame about this appealing tri as he has so much to like in shape, balance and construction. Pleasing head, eyes and ears but he never did himself justice on the stack or moving and seems in need of a confidence boost. Pity as he can look most fetching.
PGD (2,1) 1 French's Breckamore Blushing Groom, nice s/w with a lot of style. Middle sized good reach of neck and outline, balanced head with well shape and placed dark eyes, very good weight of bone, neat feet and on the stack his back is level. Good hind angulation and moves out with a decent length of stride. Just a shade too fond of his tail at times. In lovely coat.
LD (1) 1 & Res CC Bardill's Plaisnace Fenton Le Beau, other being a shade proud of his tail at times, I liked this chap a lot and ended up giving him the RCC. I liked his size, masculinity in a well shaped head, good flat skull, a modicum of stop, well filled clean muzzle and smooth cheeks. Blessed with a decent neck which he is proud to use at all times and he is so well proportioned in length/height. His front construction is really good and he moved out with a positive, confident stride. Add showmanship and excellent presentation and it is easy to see I liked him so much.
OD (3) 1 CC & BOB Williams' Mcclelland Hotter Than Hell a new face to me but probably just about at his best. He scores in his overall balance, that lovely arched neck carrying a very good head which is long, lean, some stop, the darkest of well shaped eyes, well set and carried ears which he used non-stop and his coat condition was superb. He out-moved everything else and apart from being a bit lad-ish with his tail at times, I felt he was a clear BOB winner and Group material. Regrettably he did not appear for the Group. 2 Williams' Ch Foxearth Forward Thinking for Mcclelland, lots to like about this titled s/w. Whilst his head handles well, it is a little overdone in cheek for me but he does compensate for this by having such beautiful eyes. A little more neck would improve the appeal of his outline, he is so well ribbed, good croup line and stands true in front. I would like a little more let down in hock and I felt as he circled the ring with his kennelmate, that he lacked the purpose and rear drive of Hotter and it cost him the RCC. 3 Swann's Plaisance George Le Beau at Swanndale.
VD (2) 1st Lister's Ch Eridor Im Blu at Newarp (Imp), beautifully coloured and coated b/m which I have done well by before. He has so much to admire as you handle him, his head is clean cut and fits the hand like a glove. He has a decent neck, is well ribbed and his backline is good. Now just carrying a little too much condition and he was certainly feeling the heat when moving as that old zip had gone. In repose he is very much a class item. 2 Trundley's Lilymead Agamennon, another nice blue merle and probably had the best stop of the day!! Flat in skull, amply weighted muzzle, smooth cheeks and well carried ears. He is well ribbed, smooth in croup and well set tail. Side on he edged the winner but coming towards me he was playing up which made it easier to split these two handsome dogs.
PB (2) 1 McKenn & Bardill's Plaisance Blue Belle, 2 same owner's Plaisance Mae Belle. These are b/m litter sisters. The winner is ultra feminine and once she settled to the job in hand, she shows a lovely outline and uses her neck so well. Her head handles so well, good eyes and ears but she needs to gain that confidence to make more of her virtues. Her sister is beautifully broken in colour and like her mate, she was spotless in jacket. I feel her head has yet to finish as it recedes a little compared to Belle. However, the deciding factor was on the move where this charmer was the more unruly and never stepped out as well as her construction implied she would.
JB (2,1) 1 & CC Hayward's Breckamore Fly Me To Foxearth, super type s/w which just fills the eye the moment she stacks. She is elegant, has a more than useful neck, her back is firm and has decent length of ribbing, the croup line is smooth to a low set tail and her angles front and back, are so good. Her head is excellent, the eyes a good shape and colour and she used her ears non stop. Coming into coat, she can amble at times, but once she got going she put the issue beyond doubt. I believe her first CC and the others should come fairly quickly.
PGB (6,3) 1 French's Breckamore Bang Tidy, I see this delightful tri is a full sister to the BCC winner. I think she is a lovely shape, so balanced in outline, pleasing head, eyes and ears with a soft expression. Scores in reach of neck and layback in shoulder. Not quite the width in thigh of her sister and she was moving a tad close in hock as she went away. But she has an air of quality and should continue to do well. 2 Trundley's Juniperwood Kinda Special, b/m nice headpiece with plenty of length, excellent eyes for shape and colour. Enough neck, well laid shoulders and decent forechest. Perhaps not enough let down in hock for me and I felt her backline rolled a bit as she was moved. I think she would better if moved at a slower speed. 3 Russell's Koczkodan Nos Kerenze.
LB (7,3) 1 Howard & Smith's Jack Mack's Hefin Huw, in truth the b/m is a little strong in head for me for a bitch but having said that she is so well constructed, good angles, well ribbed, super neck and outline and a smooth croup. In excellent bloom she had the smoothest in action in this class as they went around the ring. 2 Trundley's Juniperwood Jubilation, rather a nice tri bitch but oh she was not at all interested in displaying her virtues. Probably the heat - but whilst she is well made and looked like she would stride out, she was OK behind but came towards me in a rather heavy footed manner. Clean in head, excels in eyes for size, shape and placement, enough neck and in good coat. 3 Roden's Fortune Cookie from Breckamore.
OB (7,1) 1 & Res CC Lusty's Juniperwood Just A Dream. I found this to be a delight tri bitch. Oozes femininity, quality headpiece, smooth to handle, enough stop, lovely foreface and beautiful eyes and ears all combine to give her that winning look. She is well balanced in length/height, was in super coat and her side action was far reaching, fluent and un-exaggerated. Could well end up with her title. 2 Fort's Ch Mighty's Spring Meadow Gift for Shulune (Imp). A taller tri bitch in superb coat and presentation. Bags of appeal on the stack as she has a super neck, her head carriage is good and she shows her head off. I gave the winner the nod on having the better layback in front for me but this very nice acquitted herself well on the move and kept her shape throughout. Close up. 3 Benton's Alopex Marionetteof Oakestelle.
