I was honoured to be invited to judge at the British Collie Club Championship
Show, and thrilled with number and quality of the entry, so a heartfelt thank
you to
the Club and the Exhibitors.
Veteran D/B: (5 entries, 0 absentees)
1. Lister’s Ch Eridor Im Mr Blu at Newarp, imposing blue dog, nice lean and
balanced head, well arched neck, good length of body and rib, nice rise over the
loin, correct croup and tail set, excellent angulation, moved very
well.
2. Howells’ Ch Manordeifi Smart Guy at Southcombe, sable dog with correct head
and well used ears, nice arch of neck leading into a strong top line, good
length of body and rib, good angulation, well let down hocks and good feet,
moved well. 3. Burgess’ Lilymead Appanachi.
Puppy Dog: (8, 2)
1. French’s Breckamore Blushing Groom, 8 month old s/w with very correct head
and beautiful expression, lovely dark eye, good length of neck leading into
excellent top line, correct croup and tail set, excellent angulation front and
rear, good bone and good feet, a lovely youngster who moved exceptionally well
for his age RCC & BPIB.
2. Bardhill’s Plaisance Bailey, sweet blue baby puppy with lovely outgoing
temperament, excellent head and expression, good neck and topline, good length
of body and rib, good angulation front and rear, good bone nice feet, moved okay
when not having fun.
3. Anderson’s Breckamore Best Bitter.

Dog: (4, 0)
1. Kennedy’s Ryecombe Deb’n Air, s/w male of good size, excellent head and
expression, lovely dark eye, good ears, well arched neck, strong top line, good
angulation front and rear, good length of rib, moved very well.
2. Gay’s Yagane’s Blue Mist, blue merle dog with very correct head, ears rather
heavy, well arched neck leading to strong top line, good length of body, good
croup, well set tail, good angulation front and rear, moved well.
3. Denton’s Ryecombe Jaffa Jake.
Limit Dog: (5, 1)
1. Forbes’ Natalain Veni Vidi Vici at Willowhurst (Imp Rus), s/w dog of slightly
smaller stature, lovely head and expression, ears could be more on top, lovely
dark eye, good neck that he could make more of, strong top line, good angulation,
nice tight coat, moved very well.
2. Leech’s Manordeifi Dionysus at Hilltarn, blue merle dog with correct head and
expression, good neck and top line, good angulation, moved quite
well.
3. Russell’s Foxearth Fashion Guru for Koczkodan.

1. White’s Ch Foxearth Frappuccino, tricolour dog, for me the epitomy of a
smooth collie, beautiful head and expression, well arched neck and strong top
line, good brisket and depth of chest, good length of body and rib, excellent
angulation throughout, very well muscled and moved with drive and flow as if he
could keep going all day CC, BoB and thrilled to see him go Best in Show.
2. Sanders’ Ch Sweet Surrender Neelix (ATC.AQ01303NLD), tricolour dog, good head
and expression, well used ears, good neck and top line, good angulation front
and rear, just did not move with the drive of 1.
3. French’s Ch Foxearth Flock Master for Breckamore.
Puppy Bitch: (5, 0)
1. McKenna &Bardhill’s Plaisance Blue Belle, blue merle little girl who has all
the
attributes of a future star, lovely head and
expression, ears used well, good neck and top line, good angulation front and
rear, well boned, good feet, moved well.
2. Benton’s Oakestelle Venus De Milo, another pleasing blue girl with a long
slender head of correct proportions needs to
clear a little in stop, good ears used well, good reach of neck, good top line,
good length of body and rib, moved okay.
3. Glover’s Oakestelle Indie Rock at Stormsett.
Junior Bitch: (4, 0)
1. Howard and Smith’s Jack Mack’s Hefin Hew (Imp Deu), blue bitch with correct
head, well set ears which she used non-stop, well arched neck leading into
strong top line, correct loin, croup and tail set, good angulation front and
rear, well muscled, stood and showed well, handled to advantage and moved very
well.
2. Hayward’s Foxearth Fly Orchis, tricolour bitch with excellent head and
expression, slightly reluctant to use her ears, good neck and top line, good
length of body and rib, good angulation front and rear, slightly unsettled on
the move.
3. Sweeney’s Foxearth Five Beauty.
Post Graduate Bitch: (6, 1)
1.Gay’s Yagane’s Lavender Mist, blue merle bitch with fabulous tan markings but
coat still needs to clear fully, lovely head and expression, well carried ears,
excellent well arched neck leading into strong top line, with correct rise over
the loin and good croup, good brisket and length of body and rib, very well
angulated front and rear, good feet and excellent length of tail, a bitch of
lovely proportions who moved and showed very well CC.
2. Woodstock’s Kangasvuoken Valentine at Hylaird, s/w bitch with lovely head and
expression, ears a little unsettled, good neck and top line, nice deep chest,
good angulation front and rear, good feet, moved well.
3. Beeney’s Ryecombe Jolly Jonquil at Coneypark.
Limit Bitch: (2, 0)
1. Beeney’s Kinrock Bathsheba at Coneypark, s/w bitch of excellent colour,
lovely head and expression, used her ears to advantage, good neck which she
could make more of, good strong top line, correct croup and tail set, good depth
and length of body and rib, correct angulation, good feet, moved very well. RCC.
2. French’s Foxearth Finnish Touch for Breckamore, tricolour bitch with lovely
head and expression, ears a little heavy, good reach of neck and good top line
good length of body and rib, good angulation front and rear, moved well.
Open Bitch: (12, 0)
1. Hayward’s Ch Kiiramanna She Makes
My Day at Foxearth, nice blue merle bitch with
a good head and expression, ears used well, well arched neck and good top line,
nice croup and well set tail, good length of body and rib, good angulation front
and rear, good feet, coat rather profuse, moved very well.
2. Benton’s Alopex Marionette, blue merle bitch of excellent colour, correct
head and expression but eye a little full, good neck and strong top line, a
little upright in shoulder but otherwise well constructed, moved very well.
3. Hutchings’ Collidach Molloney Fay Mouse ShCM.
