I would like to thank the officers and committee for
inviting me to judge smooth collies at this level for the first time. I would
also like to thank the exhibitors for giving me a really good entry and the
sporting way they accepted my placings. My main winners are true examples of
the breed, full of breed type, I really was spoilt for choice as there were a
lot a quality dogs to choose from, especially from the higher classes.
JD Bell Koczkodan Nosblyth, well grown tri colour shown in good order,
14 months old possesses a good length of head, good neck and body shape,
movement difficult to assess due to him being too full of himself, when he
settles he should do quite well.
PGD 1. Bott Mcclelland Hot Shot, this dog is nicely put together
having a good outline and make and shape, his head handles well and is nicely
balanced correct stop ,good almond eye and neat well placed ears creating a
pleasing expression, good neck and depth of chest nicely angulated, level top
line kept on the move, shown in good order nice tight jacket. 2. Leach
Manordeifi Dionysus at Hilltarn-blue merle of good colour nicely broken up,
smaller dog than my winner but of good shape, his head is balanced and has neat
ears, he could carry a little more weight to advantage, moved well.
LD 1Williams Mcclelland Hotter than Hell, 2 years old tricolour in
lovely order throughout and really looking the part today, his head is clean
and of good length correctly placed stop .his eye is well set creating an soft
alert expression and he uses his neat well placed ears to advantage, lovely
long neck leading into beautifully angulated shoulders good depth of chest,
level top line fabulous rear angulation and tail of good length, when this dog
is stood he really makes an impact for his overall balance, I just loved him.
On the move he did not disappoint, he so deserved the CC his first, in this
form his others cannot be far away. Well done. 2. Forbes Natalain Veni Vidi
Vici at Willowhurst, sable and white smaller all through than my winner, but
well proportioned and balanced, he has come on so well since the last time I
saw him, a nicely made dog with a pleasing head and expression, good neck and
outline well angulated, moved well enough. 3. Bardill Plaisance Fenton le Beau.
OD 1 Mckenna & Bardill, Ch Macgee's Street Spirit at Plaisance
tricolour who scores well for his well balanced head of lovely type, correct
stop well set eye and beautifully placed ear carriage, creating an alert
expression, good neck and front on the move he was steady and accurate.rcc. 2.
Williams. Ch Foxearth Forward Thinking for Mcclelland, sable and white dog in
very good condition Good head correct stop, well moulded fore face, almond eye
neat ears, good neck and outline deep chest nicely angulated, level top line
moving well,nice tight jacket. 3. French- Foxearth Flock Master for Breckamore.
VD 1 Trundley, Lilymead Agamennon blue merle darker in colour, good
head and eye nice neck deep chest and well angulated, level top line and well
carried tail, moving well just carrying a little too much weight.
PB 1 Griffiths, Foxearth Furore, 7months old blue merle of light clear
silver blue colour, well broken, her head is long and clean, and is still
developing, neat well placed ears and showing them off, she has a lovely neck
and outline, nice length of back good turn of stifle and well carried tail,
moving very soundly and free for a baby, BP. JB. 1 Russell, Koczkodan Nos Kerenza
tri colour in good condition, well grown with good bone, clean head of good
length , nice neck and shoulders level top line and nicely turned stifles,
moved ok.
PGB. 1. Campbell, Ryecombe Dolly Mixture, sable and white with
cleanest of heads, good planes with the most appealing almond eye and
placement, neat well placed ears good neck and shoulder ,good depth of chest
and level top line well angulated and moved accordingly, in lovely condition
with a little more schooling should do really well.rcc. 2. Bott- Kingrock
Bethany at Bardonhill, sable and white of similar type to the winner, another
with a sweet head eye and expression, a good show girl making the most of her
body shape, in good condition and moving well. 3. French Finish Touch for Breckamore.
LB 1. Williams Mcclelland Some Like it Hot, sable and white that I
have not seen before, in profile she is of lovely type, possessing a good
outline and nicely balanced, another with a good head sweet eye and expression
ear placement is good although her ears are a little light, good neck and well
angulated front and rear, moving well. 2. Sewell- Foxearth Dressed to Frill-
tricolour presented and shown in good order pleasing head and eye neat well
placed ears, lovely neck and outline well angulated shoulders and a good depth
of chest, nicely angulated hind quarters, tail of good length .and moving well,
a hard decision to make between my first two in this class. 3. Robinsons-
Southcombe Summer Special at Dawcher. OB. 1. Haywards- Kiiramamanna She Makes
My Day at Foxearth, Blue Merle well broken and marbled slightly darker in
colour, presenting a good picture stood and showed nonstop, good well balanced
head with correct planes, good stop well placed eye and ear set to give the
desired expression, good neck leading into good shoulders and well angulated,
good depth of chest, level top line, well turned stifles and length of tail, on
the move she has a good forward reach and covers the ground easily, well
deserved the CC and BOB well done. 2. Forbes- Est Ch, Rus EE JCH Kangasvoukon
Venice, sable and white another that catches the eye for her make and shape,
pretty well balanced head, good eye and neat ears, lovely neck and shoulders,
well angulated front and rear, not making the most of herself on the move. 3.
Nef Hightri Until Sh,CM.
VB. Evans Southcombe She's the One, sable and white of 9 years, still
retaining a good clean head. Well balanced with pleasing eye and expression,
good body shape with level topline moving very soundly and enjoying her day
out.
