My thanks to the Crufts committee for the privilege of
judging at the world’s most prestigious show. Thanks also to exhibitors for a
super entry, both in numbers and quality. I was delighted my BOB won Group 2.
Which augurs well for this exhibits wonderful temperament. Handled by his new
owner, moved in the breed ring by one runner and moved in the big ring by a
second runner. Congratulations to all concerned on this splendid achievement.
VD(4, 3) 1 Toftler’s Korad/Su/Nu/Finu Ch Oneway’s Top Speed. 7
year old blue merle, very good head, nice eye and expression, excellent make and
shape, very sound.
Sp PD(2) 1 Forbes & Clements’ Pelghart Proudly Presents To Willowhurst.
Nicely constructed blue, almost 12 months, good head, eye and ears, very sound.
2 Williams’ Foxearth Forward Thinking For McClelland. 9 months sable, pleasing
for type and quality, good head and expression, moved well.
Sp JD(4) 1 Norman & Ratcliffe. Easy Listening At Seanua. Super quality,
15 months sable, well balanced throughout, typical head and expression, good ear
carriage, excellent topline, lovely sound, free movement. 2 Stemerdink’s Gallant
Beautiful Star. Well balanced, soundly constructed sable, nicely moulded head,
correct shaped eye and placement, good ear carriage, moved well. 3 Page’s
Norfield Oh What A Knight. 17 months sable, very much the same for construction
as above, just a shade longer in head, nice eye and expression, moved well.
PGD(8, 1) 1 McKenna & Bardill’s MacGee’s Street Spirit At
Plaisance (Imp). Very nice tricolour, ideal for shape and size, well balanced
throughout, good head, lovely dark eye, nicely handled and presented, moved and
showed well. 2 French’s Devern First Prime. Quality sable, good body and bone,
nice eye, good ear carriage, pleasing head pattern but just a shade broader in
skull than class winner, moved well. 3 Evans’ Southcombe Starman. Attractive
blue merle. I liked his size and quality not making the best of his chances.
LD(5) 1 Moores’ Manordeifi Storm Breaker. Three year old
tricolour, greatly appealed for type and quality, very good head, lovely dark
eye, neat ear carriage, kept his topline at all times, moved soundly with
correct tail carriage. 2 Winter &Unwin’s Sturtmoor Alexavier Odessy At
Snowtrekka ShCM. Four years old tricolour, very much the same mould as class
winner, nicely balanced throughout, lovely head and expression, moved soundly
and showed well. 3 Purvey’s Freejack Royal Knight. Three year old blue merle,
pleasing for overall type and balance, not the quality in head of above.
OD(9) 1 Asikainen &Lahtinen’s Ch Sandcastle’s True Topic. Most handsome
tricolour of ideal size, typical head with correct stop, lovely flat skull,
correct shaped eye and placement, well set and carried ears, very soundly
constructed, excellent ring presence and presentation, lovely sound free
movement, gave his best at all times. CC, BOB and Gp 2. 2 Griffiths’ Alopex Matt
Finnish. Quality tricolour, greatly appealed for size and type. I liked his head
and expression, neat ear carriage, good neck and shoulders, excellent topline,
so sound on the move, expertly handled. Res CC. 3 Lister’s Ch Eridor I’m Mr Blu
At Newarp (Imp Aust). Very sound blue merle, just a bit more of him than those
above, nicely balanced throughout, good ears and eyes, excellent ring presence.
Good Citizen D (5) 1 Winter &Unwin’s Sturtmoor Alexavier Odesy At
Snowtrekka ShCM. 2 Purvey’s Freejack Royal Knight. 3 Stilgoe’s Manordeifi Storm
Shadow Of Yeldust. Two years old tricolour, liked his size and type, nice eye,
correct stop, moved well.
VB(5, 2) 1 Hyde’s Ch Foxearth Fondant. Very pretty sable who at eight
and a half years has retained her ultra feminine charms, beautiful head, very
good ear carriage, super neck and shoulders, excellent topline, moved and showed
to perfection. Res CC. 2 Theobald’s Ch Foxearth Phoebe. Charming blue merle,
good head, eye and ears, ideal size, excellent body lines, good colour, moved
well. 3 Stilgoe’s Foxearth Fatal Beauty At Yeldust. Soundly constructed sable,
good body and bone, nice head and expression, overall a good quality bitch, just
a bit more of her than above.
Sp PB(6) 1 Norman &Ratcliffe’s Foxearth Fashioned In Black.
Glamorous tricolour, so correct for overall type and balance, lovely head and
expression, moved soundly, grand showgirl, will follow her career with interest,
BP. 2 Coates’ Alopex Blue Moon. 13 months blue merle, super colour and outline,
very pretty feminine head, typical eye and expression, completely sound in both
temperament and movement, excellent ring presence. 3 Benton’s Alopex Marionette
Of Oakestelle. Litter sister to second, very much the same comments apply, not
quite the size and substance on the day. Two lovely youngsters.
Sp JB(2, 1) 1 Giddings’ All That Jazz At Ryecombe. Quality 15
months tricolour, soundly constructed and well balanced throughout, pleasing
head and eye, correct ear carriage, nice long tail, moved well.
PGB(6) 1 Neff’s Hightri Until. Super blue merle, so correct for
size and type, good neck and topline, nice head, ears and expression, lovely
sound free movement. 2 Hartley’s Foxearth Silver Dream At Jimjack. Very nice
blue merle, good neck and body lines, pleasing head pattern, good bone and feet,
moved and showed well. 3 Lusty’s Juniperwood Dream Maker. Quality tricolour,
good head and eye, lovely expression, nicely balanced, good topline, moved
soundly and showed well.
LB(10, 4) 1 McKenna &Bardill’s Shulune Imperial Flower Of Plaisance.
Lovely quality sable, beautifully balanced throughout, typical head, eye and
expression, correct ear carriage, good neck and shoulders, super topline, moved
soundly and showed well. 2 Burgess’ Lilymead Appanachi. Nicely constructed
tricolour of pleasing type and overall balance, good head and expression,
correct ear set and carriage, good showgirl, carrying too much weight. 3 Moores’
Manordeifi Silvadora. Quality blue merle, very typical and nicely balanced,
pleasing head and eye, correct topline, good angulation, sound movement.
OB(8, 1) 1 Hutchings’ Ch Foxearth Fluorescence At Molloney ShCM. One I
have judged in the past. Most beautifully coloured blue merle, now fully mature
and can take on the best, ideal for size and substance, very good head and ears,
lovely blue eyes, so soundly constructed, excellent legs and feet, super sound
free movement, well deserved BCC. 2 Toftler’s Oneway’s Natasha Yar. Top quality
tricolour completely feminine in outlook, loved her make and shape, nicely
moulded head, very sweet eye and expression, good showgirl, very sound. 3
Griffiths’ Alopex Out Of The Blue. Gorgeous blue merle completing a trio of
lovely bitches, good reach of neck, excellent body lines, nicely moulded head,
good eye and expression, beautifully schooled and presented.
Good Citizen B (4) 1 Hutchings’ Ch Foxearth Fluorescence At
Molloney ShCM. 2 Moores’ Manordeifi Silver Dawn JW. I particularly liked the
type and balance of this blue merle bitch, head handled well good eye and ears,
very sound movement, as one would expect from such superb construction. 3
Stilgoe’s Foxearth Fatal Beauty At Yeldust.
