A quality entry on this, my first time awarding CCs. All dogs were well presented. My hands were as clean when I started as when I finished but please see that you also take care of your dog’s teeth. It was very gratifying to see my BOB shortlisted in the very strong group.
MPD A lovely start to the day. 1 Norman & Radcliffe’s Easy Listening at Seanua, gorgeous 8 month s/w, no mistaking his sex, born showman, on his toes the whole time, possesses a lovely head, with his neat ears set on top, nicely placed & shaped dark eye giving him the sweetest expression. Nicely filled in foreface, good underjaw, good reach of neck, nicely constructed all over, good front & nicely angulated at the back. Lovely substance, neat tight feet, at the moment he is a bit loose on the move but this will come with maturity, lovely puppy who I have no doubt will have a very bright future, wish him well. BP. PD 1 Page’s Norfield Oh What A Knight, 11 months s/w with a pleasing head, eye & expression, good body shape, good front & well bent stifles, ample bone & feet enabled him to move soundly. JD 1 McKenna & Bardill’s Macgees Sreet Spirit of Plaisance, tri showing much promise for his age, nicely constructed all over, good substance, neat feet enabled him to move soundly around the ring with a good reach as he went, keeping a level topline. Head of good proportion, lovely dark eye, neat ears, flat skull, combined to give him a sweet expression without being feminine, with maturity will trouble the best I’m sure; 2 N Oh What A Knight. PGD 1 Moore’s Manordeifi Storm Breaker, lovely tri who I have done well for in the past, felt that he was carrying just that little bit too much weight. He is of a lovely make & shape, good quarters, neck & length of back, well muscled & all male, good head proportions with a kind expression coming from two lovely dark eyes & neat ears set on top of a lovely flat skull, very attentive to his handler, another who could do a day’s work. LD 1 Hyde’s Foxearth Following On, tri, very appealing in all departments, balanced head, nicely moulded foreface, lovely dark eye & correctly placed ears with a sweet expression, good reach of neck, length of back, good front & well angulated at the rear, well muscled, kept a lovely topline on the move, ample bone, neat feet enabled him to move with purpose & drive, well presented, not a born showman but who wants a showing fool; 2 Winter & Unwin’s Rowvale River Of Fortune at Snowtrekka, good coloured blue, in good hard condition, pleasing head & expression, balanced body, well boned legs, neat feet, carried a level topline on the move; 3 Moore’s Manordeifi Solar Eclipse. OD 1 Sasikanen & Lahtinen’s Sandcastles True Topic, my notes say wow, what a handsome looking Smooth. It didn’t matter which way I looked at him, he looked good from every angle, immaculately turned out tri, not a hair out of place, classically marked & in his best bib & tucker I was not disappointed in going over him. Nicely constructed & balanced all over, straight front, good strong neck, length of back & a lovely topline kept on the move, good depth of chest & is well angulated at the back, well muscled, ample bone, neat feet, his head is beautiful, he completely captivated me, lovely planes, nicely moulded foreface, flattest of skulls, two lovely dark, correctly placed eyes & his neat ears set right on top, along with a correct stop gave him the most endearing & sweetest of expressions. The icing on the cake was his movement, so light & effortless, he covered the ground with such ease, it was a pleasure to watch. CC & BOB; 2 Lister’s Ch Eridor I’m Mr Blu at Newarp, lovely Smooth this time a blue, I have done well for him in the past, looking every inch the ch he is. Again all male, well constructed, good quarters, ample bone, neat feet, head of good proportions, well filled foreface, pleasing eye & expression, good strong neck & length of back, keeping his topline as he moved soundly around the ring. Just felt that he didn’t put all in & could not match the panache of True Topic. RCC; 3 Forbes’ Ch/Ir/Int Ch Pelghart Paint It Black at Willowhurst.
MPB 1 Coates’ Alopex Blue Moon; 2 Benton’s Alopex Marionette at Oakestelle, two very beautiful coloured blue babies with very little to choose between them, they are both very raw & need a bit more time, both showing much promise & with everything as it should be, both moved very well around the ring & took everything in their stride, enjoying their day out, just felt that Blue Moon had that little bit of an edge over Marionette; 3 Gidding’s All That Jazz at Ryecombe. PB 1 Wallis’ Norfield Scarlet Rose, feminine s/w of lovely make & shape, needing that little bit more confidence, pleasing head & expression, neat ears, good neck & body, length of back, good front & rear angulation, moved & showed well & was sympathetically handled. BPB. JB 1 N Scarlet Rose; 2 McKenna & Bardill’s Shulune Imperial Flower of Plaisance, feminine s/w, appealing expression, well placed eye & ear placement, good stop, nicely constructed all over & good quarters, kept a level topline on the move but not quite as positive as 1; 3 Williams’ Shulune Imperial Moonlite at Mcclelland. PGB 1 Manordeifi Penny Blue, feminine blue who was on her toes, of lovely make & shape, good head, with two lovely dark eyes, nicely placed & shaped, neat ears, good foreface & stop gave her a sweet expression, ample reach of neck, good front, length of back, well bent stifles, ample bone, neat feet enabled her to move with purpose & drive, as did all exhibits from this kennel; 2 Griffiths’ Alopex Fine Provenance, beautifully coloured blue, in pristine condition, very appealing all over but finer all through than 1 balanced head with a sweet expression, good body shape, front & length of back, nicely let down at rear, moved soundly when she got going. LB 1 Gay’s Manordeifi Sapphire Mist Yagane, blue who I have done well for in the past & was pleased to see her again, glad to see she has progressed along the right lines & is maturing nicely, born showgirl, so attentive to her handler, nicely constructed with good quarters. Straight front, good neck & length of back, well muscled, ample bone, neat feet, good head pattern with a sweet expression coming from two lovely dark eyes & neat ears. She really comes into her own on the move, covers the ground with such ease. RCC, one I hope will make it to the upper house; 2 A Out Of The Blue, another lovely coloured blue from this kennel, different in type to1, lovely make & shape, balanced all over, head handles well, lovely eye & expression, flat skull, neat ears, good reach of neck, good length of back, good front & rear with well bent stifles, moved soundly; 3 Moores’ Manordeifi Silvadora. OB 1 Hydes’ Ch Foxearth Fondant, what a lovely s/w lady. Hard to believe she is 8 years old, she really belies her age, appealed immensely for her femininity & trueness to type, nicely balanced all over with a most lovely head, eye & the sweetest of expressions, nicely moulded in foreface, ample stop, neat ears & the flattest of skulls, good front, deep chest, level topline & nicely let down at the rear, ample bone & neat feet enabled her to really move around the ring, so light & effortlessly covered the ground with such ease, born showgirl & was beautifully presented, a great ambassador for the breed. CC; 2 Moores’ Manordeifi Scheherazade, s/w who I have judged before & was pleased to see her looking so well but she had other ideas, she just did not want to know. She has now matured into a lovely Smooth & like all others in this kennel certainly knew how to move & could quite easily do a day’s work. Breeder Moores’ Manordeifi Smooths, four from this kennel, very much of a type, shape & balance, & all of them so sound on the move, a pleasure to judge them.
