Lovely weather, super venue and a friendly atmosphere all contributed to make this a show to remember. The large ring enabled exhibitors every opportunity to strut their stuff and in the main I considered movement good. Temperaments were excellent and all present were fit for function. Heads varied somewhat and a few were rather deep in skull. Overall condition impressed. I thoroughly enjoyed my first CC appointment in this breed. Thank you. PD (2) 1 Norman & Ratcliffes Easy Listening at Seanua, development spot on for age and this lad should have a very bright future, correct head plains and break, dark obliquely set eye, ears well placed, arched neck, well laid shoulders, good bone, correct feet, well ribbed with topline to suit, defined quarters, true action just needs to tighten in front, BP & BPIS. 2 Pages Norfield Oh What a Knight, well grown masculine lad without coarseness or exaggeration, just preferred ears of 1, correct bone and feet, definition to quarters, moved well. JD (2,1a) 1 Pages Norfield Oh What a Knight. PGD (2) 1 Trundleys Juniperwood King of Kings, tri of useful breed type, correct muzzle and skull plains, not using ears to advantage, reach to neck, depth and breadth to chest, ribs sprung, would prefer some rise over loin, correct tail set and carriage, positive movement. 2 Wallis Norfield White Knight, well developed sable, head marginally deep through, enough neck, moderate bone and feet, reasonable topline, moved okay but I preferred more positive rear action of 1. LD (1) 1 Griffiths Alopex Matt Finish, tri, worthy lad that I really appreciated, clean head in proportion to body, reach to neck, firm well placed shoulders, depth to brisket, level back with gentle rise, muscular well angled quarters, moved totally soundly but would like more reach. OD (4) 1 Listers Ch Eridor Im Mr Blu at Newarp, b/merle, masculine with substance, balanced without exaggeration, reach to neck into well appointed muscular shoulders, depth and width to chest, ribs sprung, level back gentle rise, correct tailset and carriage, useful quarters, typical action with purpose, CC. 2 Asikainen & Lahtinens Sandcastles True Topic, tri of considerable quality, clean through, attentive outlook, eye dark enough, firm shoulders, deep brisket, correct topline, well constructed quarters, moved steady, RCC. 3 Forbes Ch. Ir. Int Ch Pelghart Paint It Black at Willowhurst. VD (1) 1 Wallis Norfield Tin Star, b/merle, 10yo and shown to perfection, balanced head, powerful neck, chest developed and the best of shoulders, moderate bone, good feet, well ribbed, good topline, well made hindquarters producing useful action, a credit to his owner. PB (1) 1 Wallis Norfield Scarlet Rose, feminine sable with parallel head plains and moderate break, soundly constructed in all departments and shown in good form and harsh coat, just needs a little more confidence. JB (1) Wallis Norfield Scarlet Rose. PGB (3) 1 Griffiths Alopex Fine Provenance, very feminine, beautifully headed tri, arched neck on well constructed front assembly, feet a little flat, good depth and topline to suit, gentle turn of stifle, needs to muscle up, moved steady. 2 Campbells Glencorrie Dusky Diva, tri with head in proportion to body, stands marginally square, reasonably placed shoulder, moderate bone, better feet than 1, level back, good tailset and carriage, useful quarters, moved steady. 3 Trundleys Juniperwood Final Afair. LB (3) 1 Griffiths Alopex Out of the Blue, ultra feminine b/merle with balanced head and correct expression, pleasing forehand and sound limbs, depth to brisket with enough spring to rib, topline to suit, moved soundly but a little lethargic, super harsh coat of correct colour, RCC. 2 Robinsons Dawcher Dream Searcher, tri that is so well balanced, larger than winner, eye fractionally prominent but still has appealing expression, ears well placed, reach to neck, good bone, some shape to topline and defined quarters, moved steady. 3 Gays Manordeifi Sapphire Mist at Yagane. OB (4,1) 1 Sewells Ch Foxearth Farris Via Lewarne, totally honest mature lady of good size but retaining femininity, pleasing head eye and expression, excellent forehand, breadth and substance to body, muscular well constructed hindquarters, her ultra sound movement is a joy to behold and unmatched in this class, BCC, BOB & BIS. 2 Robinsons Ch Hilltarn Valentine, not quite in the class of the winner but nicely balanced, soundly constructed and an honest mover, well handled. 3rd Haywards Ch Sandcastles As You Like It at Foxearth ultra feminine b/merle with the sweetest expression and a classic outline, not as positive on the move as 1 and 2. VB (4,2) 1 Robinsons Ch Southcombe Sweet As A Nut, 8yo sable of excellent type, lovely head properties and expression, clean in outline and construction and an impressive mover, great to see older quality exhibits in such fine form, well done, BV. 2 Seldons Chicnoir Golden Charm at Merland, 7yo, performed well, clean head, arched neck, well placed shoulder, chest developed, would prefer a tad more length to leg, pleasing topline and useful quarters.
