Can I firstly thank the committee for this invitation to judge at this show, perhaps the most prestigious Collie Club in the world and the hospitality we received whilst at the show. I would just like to point out a few oberservations regarding what I saw within the stock brought under me, the concerns I feel the breeders of this breed should be watching out for. We still need to watch size in some exhibits. Both at the top end, where we loose the soft expression and at the lower end, where exhibits are too fine in bone and we lose the grace in movement. A feature the "Smooth" has always excelled in. V 1 Ch Dark Motif from Mistoff. A worthy champion carrying his 9 and a half years. Medium size with balanced head planes. Soft expression, good ear carriage. Good reach of neck, leading into well laid shoulders. Good front, length of back and balanced angulation. Moved with ease. 2 Norfield Tin Star. BM whom is at the top side for size. Still a good colour, but dog who obviously likes his tucker! Both exhibits entered were males. PD 1 and B.Puppy Devern First Prime. S/W Very much still a baby, but shows a lot of promise for the future. I will watch his career with interest. 2 Feejack Midnight Dazzler 3 Shuline Imperial Warrior JD 1 CC and BOB Foxearth Following On. This tri in my opinion is as near to the standard that was under me on the day. He stood four square showing a balanced picture and didn't disappoint on the move. His head is well balanced with a beautiful soft expression and ears set on top. Good reach of neck, good length to height ratio. Good shoulders and well angulated rear. 2 Devern First Prime 3 Freejack Midnight Dazzler PGD 1 Manordeifi Path Finder A 2 year old Tri of good colour. Nice head, ears well set, moved well round the ring. 2 Rowvale River Of Fortune at Snowtrekka LD 1 Freejack First Night At Norfield Tricolor, who is well up to size. Well balanced through out. Well angulated front and rear. Head handles well with correct stop. 2 Freejack Royal Night 3 Manordeifi Storm Breaker OD 1 Res CC Norfield Soul Mate A s/w with good expression, ears well positioned, well proportioned body, but carrying too much weight over the shoulders. This doesn't help his front movement and has a tendency to toe in. 2 Ch Foxearth Flash Past. 3 Ch and Ir Ch Pelghart Paint It Black At Willowhurst PB 1 Shulune Imperial Flower Of Plaisance This was an 8month s/w baby, well made front, good body length and well angulated rear. Movement was true. 2 Manorfeifi sweet Suzanna JB. 1 Res CC Glencorrie Sunsationalle SW and my notes just say very pretty and this is what she is. No mistaking her sex. Beautiful head, good ears, moved with purpose. 2 Foxearth Silver Dream At Jimjack 3 Juniperwood Final Affair PGB. 1 Freejack A Touch Of Magic A very nice b/m, well proportioned throughout. Head handles well, but she did disappoint me on the move a little. 2 Hightri Until LB 1 Manorfeifi Saphire Mist At Yagane b/m This well constructed girl of good colour with well broken marbling. Didn't have the femininity in expression I was looking for in my major winners. Though had plenty of drive on the move. 2 Lilymead Appanachi 3 Manordeifi Silvadora OB 1 CC Ch Foxearth Fluorescence At Molloney This bitch is such an attractive correct colour. She screams femininity. Her shawl collar shows off her beautiful reach of neck. Flows around the ring with a good tireless strong true moving gate. 2 Manordeifi Silver Dawn JW 3 Sharidon Miss American Pie At Knipes
