I was very pleased with my CC & RCC winners. Nearly all of the exhibits did not like the noise in the building which affected the ear carriage of most, some substantially more than others.

VD (0). PD (2) 1 Norman & Ratchliffe’s Easy Listening at Seanua, s/w, balanced in height to length, good bone, correct coat which fits the body well & is of harsh texture, head has balance & handles well, eye well placed, as are ears & he can bring it all together to give a very pleasing expression. Was a little unsettled moving in his class, but pulled out the stops in the challenge. I would think he will go on to do very well. BP & RCC, shortlisted in the puppy group; 2 Page’s Norfield Oh What A Knight, s/w, lacking quality of 1. Reasonable head qualities, ears top third need to tip over & needs to fill out in body. JD (4,1a) 1 McKenna & Bradill’s Macgee’s Street Spirit at Plaisance, tri, good coat, plenty of bone. Tail a little bit short & carried high on the move. Nice head, pleasing eye shape. Needs to settle & be at one with the handler; 2 Stilgoe’s Manordeifi Storm Shadow of Yeldust, tri, lean in head & body. Needs to fill out. Moved OK. PGD (3) 1 Moores’ Manordeifi Storm Breaker, tri, good body shape being balanced in length to height, head has good parallel planes, eye well placed. Not using ears at all, seemed to be affected by the noise. Moved wide behind; 2 Purvey’s Norfield Silver Knight of Freejack, b/m, good bone, moved OK. Not as pleasing in head as 1. LD (4,1) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Skymaster Blue, b/m, body balanced in length to height, coat of good texture, fits well, good colour, head OK, strong neck, good shoulder, moved OK; 2 Winter & Unwin’s Rowvale River Of Fortune at Snowtrakka, b/m. Too high on leg at the moment which made him look square, this reflected in his movement. OD (5,1) 1 Asikainen & Lahtinen’s Sandcastle’s True Topic, tri of quality, good harsh, tight fitting coat over a well balanced body, which has the correct length to height, head has the correct wedge shape & two parallel plains, eye well placed, ears on top & used well to give that lovely soft Collie expression, moves well & goes in to a natural stand. CC & BOB; 2 Wallis’ Norfield Soul Mate, s/w who I like when stood, however he lets himself down when moving.

VB (0). PB (3) 1 Giddings’ All That Jazz at Ryecombe, tri with balanced body, good coat of harsh texture, pleasing eye, ears carried on top & used well. Needs to settle in movement; 2 Benton’s Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle, b/m, lovely colour, whilst she is balanced in shape she is rather fine with little bone to grow on to. Used ears all the time & put a lot in to showing. JB (3) 1 Williams’ Shulune Imperial Moonite at McClelland, s/w, body length to height OK, good coat. Head still developing & a little uneven at the moment. Neat ears on top & used well, moved OK; 2 McKenna & Bradill’s Shulune Imperial Flower of Plaisance, s/w, littermate & very similar to 1. Not making the most of herself. PGB (6,1) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Fine Provenance, tri in hard condition, coat short & harsh as required, correct length to height, lovely neck, good shoulder, moved well, good head, eye well placed, ears on top giving pleasing expression; 2 Moores’ Manordeifi Penny Blue, b/m who moves well, nice eye, ears OK. Occasionally over stretched which spoilt her shape. LB (6) 1 Giddings’ Foxearth God Filligree, s/w, judged her when young & liked her then, she has settled in the ring since, lovely body shape, covered in the tightest of coats with correct harsh texture, head with wedge shape, eye good, shape & colour, well placed, ears on top & used to give very pleasing expression, moves well keeping her topline, she is only 13 weeks on from having a litter which has finished her well. Pushed very hard for BOB, undercarriage just needs to lift to enhance an already lovely Collie. CC; 2 Moore’s Manordeifi Silvadora, b/m, nice shape, does not always keep topline on move. Good coat, head OK, moved with some drive. OB (2) 1 Sewell’s Ch Foxearth Farris via Lewarne, tri of correct shape, not always keeping topline. Coat of correct texture & fit, head with correct wedge, well placed eye. Not showing her best but put just enough in to get RCC; 2 Moore’s Manordeifi Scheherazade, this bitch has a good head with correct plains & dark eye. Not using ears at all, unsettled by the noise.
