A well run show in a new venue. As always, a real pleasure to judge for this club and as usual the welcome and hospitality show was exemplary. It was a genuine delight to judge the Smooth Collies and to find such high quality throughout the entry. Thank you to all the exhibitors and it is reassuring to find the breeders are obviously doing such a great job and thank you to my steward for being so efficient. SMOOTH COLLIES: PD (2) 1 Trundley's Juniperwood King Of Kings. Masculine head, lovely planes, dark well shaped eyes, reluctant to use ears. Good neck, shoulder, topline and coat texture. Moved okay. 2 Norman & Ratcliffe's Foxearth Follow That Dream. Looked lovely standing, lost topline on the move. Head of good pattern and alert expression. Well conformed by preferred shoulder of 1. PGD (2) 1 Sewell's Foxearth Flintoff For Lewarne. Nice S/W with masculine head, would prefer a neater eye and ears a little heavy. Excellent outline which was held on the move. Deep chest, correct topline and acceptable shoulder angulation. Moved freely. 2 Clark's Astrellita Dr Dray. Super headed tri who let himself down by not showing himself off. Lovely expression, good ears, strong neck, very good shoulder angulation, moved well. LD (2) 1 Wallis' Freejack First Knight At Norfield JW. Res CC. Very striking Tri with the most lovely flowing outline. Head correct in all departments, eyes dark and well shaped with wonderful alert expression. Strong graceful neck set into well angulated shoulders, good front, deep chest, correct textured coat. Moved with drive keeping the desired topline. Pressed hard in the challenge. 2 Trundley's Lilymead Agamennon. Well proportioned B/M of good colour and correctly textured coat. Lovely head with neat eye, good ears, arched neck, deep chest, correct topline. Moved ok. OD (5) 1 Lister's Ch Eridor Im Mr Blu At Newarp (Imp Aus) CC & BOB Worthy B/M champion. Lovely head, well shaped eye, alert expression, good ears. Good reach of neck, excellent front, shoulder angulation and topline. Deep chest, harsh coat of lovely colour. Moved freely with style. 2 Wallis' Norfield Soul Mate. S/W Nice all through. Lovely head and expression. Good neck, shoulder and front. Correct texture coat. Showed well but lost topline on the move. 3 Clark's Glencorrie Be Worthy For Astrellita. PB (1) 1 Trundley's Juniperwood Final Affair. Res CC. B P. What a poppet! Stunning head and expression, lovely dark eye, correctly placed ears, sweeping neck set into correctly placed and angulated shoulders, good length of topline, good front, deep chest, well bent stifle, coat shiny of correct texture. Presents a lovely outline. Moved sufficiently well but handler needs to work on co-ordination. PGB (2,1) 1 Gay's Manordeifi Sapphire Mist At Yagane. Lovely head, neat eye and alert expression. Good neck, deep chest, correct topline, would prefer more width of chest, correct shoulder. Moved freely and effortlessly. LB (4,1) 1 Robinson's Dawcher Dream Searcher. Smart tri with nice head pattern, correctly carried ears, eye a tad round, good neck sety into well angulated shoulders, deep chest and correct width of chest. Well muscled rear, excellent topline which was maintained while moving effortlessly. 2 Giddings' Foxearth Gold Filligree. Lovely outline standing, but slack topline on the move. Nice head and expression, well carried ears, deep chest. 3 Trundley's Lilymead Alicia OB (3) 1 Hutchings' Foxearth Fluorescence At Molloney CC RBOB BOS Outstanding quality B/M, superb colour, markings and coat texture. Excellent conformation creating the most beautiful classic silhouette. Stunningly feminine throughout and shown in good hard condition. Lovely head with very expressive eyes and ears. Movement was free and totally effortless. Delighted to award her the well deserved 3rd CC. 2 Sewell's Ch Foxearth Farris Via Lewarne. Well conformed Tri. Stronger throughout than 1 and not the topline. Nice head, ears and expression. Good front, excellent shoulder, correct coat texture. 3 Robinson's Hilltarn Valentine JW. VB (1) 1 Gay's Hilltarn Kiri At Yagane Sh CM. This B/M excelled in movement. Nice head pattern with pleasing eye and expression. Correct length of neck set into well angulated shoulders. Deep chest, correct front and topline.
