BEST OF BREED : HUTCHINGS Mrs F Ch Foxearth Fluorescence At Molloney
|
This is a breed that is not big in numbers, but I must say, I felt the quality had improved from the last time I judged them.
PD (2,1a) 1 Trundley’s Juniperwood King Of Kings, tri of 9 months, pleasing overall, head of good length, just needs to flatten a little in skull as one would expect at his age. Pleases in eye, good reach of neck, well bodied with good spring of rib. Moved well, particularly good going away, but a little loose in front. JD (1) A. PGD (2,1) 1 Thompson’s Londer Moonrock, tri, pleasing in some respects, good head type, well placed stop, nice dark eye. Could perhaps carry a little more weight to advantage. Moved quite well particularly in front. His major problem is that he has one ear erect, & his handler did not attempt to correct it, I feel she could possibly seek advice from her peers. LD (3) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Matt Finish, very good overall construction, quite pleasing in head, correct stop. Needs to flatten in skull, but he is still quite young. Used his well placed ears to advantage, good neck & shoulder, well angulated rear, moved very well; 2 Trundley’s Lilymead Agamemnon, another I liked, close up to 1, just lacking a little in definition of stop, but has all the essentials & moved quite freely; 3 Thompson’s Lunder Moonrock. OD (3) 1 Norman & Ratcliffe’s Ch Foxearth Flash Past, sable, good head type, well filled muzzle, correctly shaped & placed dark eye giving a lovely expression, uses his ears well, good body, moved out well. Just tends to lift his tail a little more than I would like, but well deserved his CC; 2 Lister’s Ch Eridor I’m Mr Blu at Newarp, this one is pleasing in head type, just lacking a little definition in stop. Liked his eye, he can certainly use his ears, good neck, shoulder & depth of body, well bent stifle, level topline, moved with drive, close up to 1. RCC; 3 Forbes’ Ch Paint It Black at Willowhurst.
PB (1) 1 Trundley’s Juniperwood Final Affair, tri, sister to the PD winner, this one really appealed, good head pattern, nice dark eye, enough stop, needs to flatten in skull but this will come with age. Good reach of neck, well bodied, overall has lovely type & balance. Movement perhaps a little unsettled at times, but I would predict a bright future for this young lady. BP. JB (2) 1 Neff’s Hightri Until, merle quality exhibit, good head, correct stop, nice dark eye, well placed ears she can use which together gave an attractive expression, sufficient body, good rear angulation. Sometimes a little unsettled when moving, probably due to the change of handler, another one with promise; 2 Hayward’s Rowvale Rainbows End at Foxearth, merle, not quite so good in colour as 1, head is pleasing if a little heavy in backskull. Nice eye & expression, well used ears, rich tan markings, good in body with depth, moved with drive & purpose, very pleasing overall quality. PGB (1) 1 Trundley’s Lilymead Lisa, nice type of head, good clean stop. Well filled in foreface but perhaps lacking a little in underjaw, would prefer richer tan markings, one who likes her food, very well bodied. Quite good hind angulation, moved fairly well. LB (4,1) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Out Of The Blue, very good quality bitch, pleasing in head, good underjaw & definition of stop, well shaped & placed eye which combined with her well used ears gave an appealing expression, good reach of neck & depth of body, moved with great freedom & carried her tail correctly; 2 Giddings’ Foxearth Gold Filligree Sable, who just lost out to 1 in underjaw & stop, in beautiful condition, well boned, nice topline, pleasing in hindquarters, moved quite well; 3 Hunter’s Toxteth Silver Star. OB (5) 1 Hutchings’ Foxearth Fluorescence at Molloney, was certainly the star of the day, beautifully coloured merle of quite stunning appeal, so feminine & teeming with quality & class, lovely head type, super expression, correctly placed ears used so well, her overall outline, she was just what I was looking for, her movement was a joy to see, carried her tail correctly all the time. CC & BOB; 2 Garnett’s Sharidon Miss American Pie at Knipes, amazing 11 years tri of a different type, but quite stunning in her own way, size bigger than 1 but has the most wonderful conformation, head very good for age, superb reach of neck, good body with depth, rear angulation very pleasing, wonderful mover for her age. RCC; 3 French’s Lilymead Amazing Grace.
