Some very nice dogs.
JD (3,1a) 1 Winter & Unwin’s Rowvale River Of Fortune at Snowtrekka, b/m of nice type, good head of correct length, well made body, good angulation & bone, moved well, should mature in to a really nice dog. RCC; 2 French’s Frendet Cotton Eye Joe, finer type s/w, pretty head of good length, good body. Not as well angulated as 1, needs to settle on the move. GD (1) 1 R River Of Fortune at S. PGD (1) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Skymaster Blue, b/m with clean wedge head, nice eye & expression, nicely balanced, good length of back, well angulated with good bone. Would not cooperate on the move. LD (4) 1 Tillier’s Southcombe Set A Flame for Cromarty, lovely s/w, clean wedge head of correct length, nice eye & good ears, well angulated with good length of back, super bone. Moved well, what a shame about his tail which cost him in the challenge; 2 Winter & Unwin’s Sturtmoor Alexavier Odessy at Snowtrekka, tri who was just not in the mood. Lovely clean wedge head, nice eye & expression. Still needs to mature in body. Moved well; 3 Purvey’s Freejack The Highlander. OD (1) 1 Forbes’ Ch Pelghart Paint It Black at Willowhurst, tri who has come on a lot since I last judged him, head of good length but still a little strong. Correct length of body, good depth of rib & bone, well angulated, moved with reach & drive to win the CC.
JB (2) 1 Martin’s Rowvale Rich N Famous, lovely tri bitch who just needs to calm down in the ring. Clean wedge head of correct length, flat skull & nice eye, good length of back, well angulated & nice bone. When she behaved she moved with reach & drive; 2 French’s Frendet Nannina, s/w who needs more confidence. Sweet head of nice type. Just needs time as she is very immature. GB (1) 1 R Rich N Famous. PGB (2) 1 R Rich N Famous; 2 Purvey’s Freejack A Touch Of Magic, b/m, good length of head but preferred stop & expression of 1 & needs to get her ears higher. Well made body, moved quite well. LB (4) 1 Robinson’s Dawcher Dream Searcher, tri of nice type, good clean wedge head of correct length, well angulated, good length of back & bone, moved & showed well; 2 Giddings’ Foxearth Gold Filligree, s/w with nice head but not as good in stop as 1. Well made body, just lacking angulation of 1. Moved OK; 3 Griffiths’ Alopex Out Of The Blue. OB (5,1) The best class of the day with four lovely bitches, although all of different types. The top places went down to type & performance on the day. 1 Hayward’s Ch Sandcastles As You Like It at Foxearth, very striking b/m, good clean wedge head, nice eye & expression, good ears used to advantage, good length of neck & back, well angulated, good bone, moved steadily. CC & BOB; 2 Gay’s Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane, nice blue, heavier marked than 1. Nice head & eye, well used ears, good conformation, excellent mover. RCC; 3 Robinson’s Ch Hilltarn Valentine.
