PD (5) 1 & BP Walis’ Freejack First Knight at Norfield. beautifully conditioned tri dog. Tall, a degree of elegance when he pulls himself together, scores in reach of neck and firmness in backline, decent spring of rib, pleasing head length with well placed ears and dark eyes. Side on he move with good reach and drive. Just needs to develop of bit more forechest and to firm up when front viewed. 2 Purvey’s Freejack Royal Knight. lovely coloured blue merle which is a bit proud of his tail. Scores in reach of neck and firmness in backline leading to a well moulded croup. Pleasing headpiece, very good eyes and such mobile ears which are well set. Not the muzzle roundness and finish of the winner and I would just like his stop to be more defined. 3 Moores’ Manoirdeifi Storm Breaker.

JD (2) 1 M Storm Breaker. quite a lot to admire in this tricolour but at present he is soft in backline and needs to fill out in forechest where he stands and moves narrowly. I liked his head pattern, it fits the palm well, his stop is correct and he has such a benevolent expression from well shaped eyes. Could do with a little more angulation both ends, but he is balanced, hence when side viewed his action is very pleasing. 2 Moore’s Manordeifi Star Spangled. lovely coloured blue merle whose ears are too heavy and therefore totally alter his expression. Skull beautiful flat if a shade deeper through than I like, very good eyes and muzzle, reachy neck, very well sprung ribs and his bodylines will appeal as they flow. On the move he shows reach and drive and he carries his tail correctly.

PGD
(5/1) How is it possible to get 4 such different smooths in the same class! 1 Thorn’s Pelghart Piper’s Son. came and looked, moved and presented as a show dog. He has a gay tail which I hate and he is a bit strong in backskull for me. However, he has plusses almost everywhere else, was the most positive mover, was in super coat and body condition and is a non stop showman. 2 Winter & Unwin’s Sturtmoor Alexavier Odessy at Snowtrekka. I liked his head properties, lovely eyes and a degree of stop. Very good neck, just enough spring of rib but he is short of body weight at this time and he needs to fill out in forechest. Level back, well moulded croup and good tail, bit lacking in bend of stifle Side action shows balance and he keeps his shape well. 3 Sewell’s Foxearth Flintoff for Lewarne.

LD
(4) 1 Wallis’ Norfield Soul Mate. a most attractive s/w in stunning body & coat condition. Good wither height, very good head length though a little deep through in backskull, a degree of stop and lovely eyes and expression. Angulations for and aft are balanced and he acquits himself well when circling the ring, keeping his shape and stride pattern. 2 Forbes’ Pelghart Paint it Black at Willowhurst. lots to like about this handsome tri but not quite the smoothness in head of the winner. Scores in neck, fore assembly, firmness in back and his well moulded croup. Certainly has a degree of elegance in stance and his profile action is good. Another which needs to firm up in front. 3 Moores’ Manordeifi Solar Eclipse.

OD (6,2) 1 Lister’s Eridor Im Mr Blu at Newarp (Imp Aus). a newcomer to me but hopefully will prove a great asset to the breed here. Strikingly handsome well coloured blue merle, beautifully constructed, lovely headpiece with extremely good eyes and ears, strong neck which is held almost regally, well ribbed and bodied, adequate second thigh and well set tail. Sound moving from all angles, immaculately presented and a very willing showman. 2 & Res CC Griffith’s Ch, Alopex Highland Fling. what a very nice dog this is. Certainly not surprised to see has is already crowned. Lovely headpiece, beautiful eyes for shape, size and colour, ear well placed though he is little reluctant to use them much, nice reach of neck, adequate bend of stifle and the firmest of hocks both in stance and on the move. 3 Tuck’s Dark Motif from Misstoff AW(G).

PB
(2) 1 Moores Manordeifi Silvadora. 2 Purvey’s Freejack a Touch of Magic. both blue merles. The second is the better colour and is ultra feminine. Smaller all through, super body shape and quite sound in action. Hopefully time will give her that bit wither height and when she will be quite striking and successful. The winner is much darker in background but has the advantage of maturity in every sense. Taller, so well bodied and ribbed, in hard muscular condition, nice flat skull, shade overdone in stop definition, excellent reach of neck and side on she covers the ground so well.

JB (1) 1 M Silvadora.

PGB
(6,2) 1 Giddings’ Foxearth Gold Filigree. s/w in superb coat and muscle tone. Good head length, well shaped eyes and very good ears set & carriage. Lovely outline and she showed her head off, using that arched neck to advantage. Front let her down in the challenge although her profile action is reachy and balanced. 2 Robinson’s Dawcher Dream Searcher. tricolour with not quite the clean one pieced wedge head of the winner. Excellent reach of neck, good angulation both ends, nice depth of ribs and decent width behind the withers, level in back and that good croup moulding. Side on she motors very freely but like so many others in the breed, her front needs to firm up. 3 Griffiths’ Alopex Out of the Blue.

LB (5,1) 1 Fort’s Shulune Lady of Lorien. well coated very showy s/w of lovely make and shape. Her head handles so well, the eyes are a good shape and so well set. Her body is firm, she is well muscled with a decent reach of neck and a smooth croup line. Her side action is so balanced but again her front is not her best feature. However, overall I felt she had to win even although I wish she was less proud of her tail. 2 Hutchings & Waite’s  Foxearth Flouresence at Molloney. this very pretty colour blue merle has much charm. To start with she is a beautiful colour, it is well broken up, the blue almost sparkles and she was immaculately presented. I loved her outline, sweeping and clean cut, she moved well side on and she has a very useful arch to her neck. Her head has a flat skull, a little more stop would be better but she lost out to winner on muzzle where just does not have the roundness and finish of the winner. But she is pretty and totally feminine. 3 Moores’s Manordeifi Silver Dawn JW.

OB
(4,2) 1 CC & BOB then G2 Sewell’s Foxearth Farris via Lewarne. this tricolour is a class act in the breed. Stunning outline, almost exaggerated in neck, she arches it beautifully, her shoulders are well laid, the chest has depth, backline firm, super croup line to a good tail and excellent hindquarters. Her head is really good, long, lean in skull, beautiful eyes, ears and expression and she was immaculate in coat.   On the move she is shapely, holds herself so well and then stacks with an air of regalness.  Delighted to see her win G2 from Mr. McManus. 2 & Res CC Robinson’s Hilltarn Valentine JW. another extremely nice tricolour bitch which should go on to her crown as she won’t meet too many like the winner at every show. So feminine with a very good head, nice flat skull, well shaped dark & most expressive eyes. Has enough neck, is well ribbed, very good hindquarters, smooth in croup and uses her self so well circling the ring.  No hesitation in awarding her the runner up spot.
