I was delighted with this excellent entry with this lovely old breed. Favourite of mine. Types have changed for the better, still we have a few sizes with us! I note presentation was very good, dentition needs watching on a couple of exhibits. Quality was much higher than in the past as well as movement too. So I feel your on track. Sincere thanks to all.

JD. (7). 1. Wallis’s, Freejack First Knight at Norfield. Tri colour. An outstanding male. Top quality, breed type. Beautifully presented. Super head piece, correct ears and set, dark eye, flat skull, tight lips, pigmented, good mouth and excellent underjaw. Great neck strong into the best of shoulders. Well boned legs and feet. Good depth, brisket and width. Good heart room. Excellent ribs, strong topline. Correct loin. Super quarters. Well angled best tail set. My top winner here on the day. Congrats, love to own him. BP, BD and BOB. 2. Purvey’s, Freejack Royal Knight. A very nice b/m ideal size and bone. Good headed. Well marked in coat and texture. Litter brother to winner I note. Needs time to mature on. Super over. Well handled too. 3. Moored’s, Manordeifi Storm Breaker.

PGD. (5). 1. Tinter and Unwin’s, Strutmoor Aleavier. Tri. Grand breed type. Well boned. Masculine head, excellent ears and set, dark eye, good muzzle and bite, tight lips, well pigmented. Beautifully presented, super coat colour and texture. Well boned all through. Grand neck correct shoulders. Well ribbed in body. Strong back. Nice depth of brisket. Good topline. Strong loin. Well, angulated hindquarters. Well muscled, good tail set.  Covers ground well. RBD. 2. Moores’s, Manordeifi Storm Breaker. Tri. Real honest type put down in tip top condition. So sound, best heads, grand neck and forehand. Maturing well in body. Scored on movement. Excellent reach of drive. Nice to handle. 3. Moores’, Manordeifi Percival.

OD. (4). 1. Purvey’s, Norfield Silver Night for Freejack. B/m. Sound male well boned. Excellent breed type. Good size up on his toes. Masculine head, good ears, eyes, planes, good mouth and underjaw, nice pigment on lips etc. Strong neck into  lovely shoulders. Good legs and feet. Well sprung ribs. Good strong loin. Good in back. Sound hindquarters. Covers plenty of ground. 2. Gadd’s, Snuggletooth Olivers Twist via Chic noir. Nice sable presented so well in hard condition. Has grand head, good ears used well, correct eye, good planes. Good neck into very good shoulders. Nice body, strong loin, well muscled hindquarters, good feet. Strode out well in front. Good drive, so sound. 3. Wallis’s, Norfield Soul Mate.

(3). 1. Moores’, Manordeifi Silvadora. B/m, Top quality girl well grown., Best of bone and body. Best of heads here for a famel, good eye and expression,m grand ears well used. Nice back skull, good mouth and pigment, tight lips. Strong neck, super shoulders. Well bone legs and feet. Well ribbing up in body. Excellent topline. Correct coat. Best of hindquarters, well angulated and muscled. Good tail. Sound mover. Real honest type. An asset to the breed. BB. 2. Gay’s, Manordeifi Sapphire Mist at Yagane. B/m. Another quality girl. Feminine headpiece, good ears well used. Nice bone and body. Coat needs to clear. Sound mover. Presented well. Nice attitude here. Very promising one for the future. RBB. 3. Purvey’s, Freejack a Touch of Magic.

(3). 1. Moores’, Manordeifi Silvadora. 2. Coates’s, Starlight Spirit at Pencloda. Wee heavy. A nice type feminine head and expression, good eye, ears nice pigmentation, tight lips. Presented well. Nice bone and body would like more strength in pasterns. Good jacket and muscled hindquarters. Moves well.

(4). 1. Hutchings and Waite’s, Foxearth. Flourescence at Molloney. B/m. Very feminine head and expression, well set ears. Super condition, nice angles. Very sound. A wee tad more of her could be the icing on the cake though within breed standard. Coverss the ground well. Good reach and drive. 2. Gay’s, Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane Sh CM. B/m, nice type. Good head piece though markings detract the expression. Good neck and forehand. Best of body. Presented well in lovely bloom. Sound mover, well handled. 3. Swell’s, Foxearth Farris Via Le Varne. This was an outstanding tri quality one. Tall girl, preferred femininity of the winners. Again personal choice. Very sound.
