(2) 1 Winter & Unwin’s
Rowvale River Of Fortune at Snowtrekka; 2 Evans’ Southcombe Starman, two very
young b/m dogs who both have time to mature. 1 is well up to size & was in good
condition although coat needs to clear. Head & skull need to finish. Moved OK. 2
was at his first outing & similar remarks apply. His movement was very erratic.
JD (3) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Matt
Finnish, tri of smaller size, well balanced head with flat skull, neat ears used
well, good overall outline & construction. Although not in his best jacket he
was good enough to win the class. Movement true; 2 Moore’s Manordeifi Storm
Breaker, tri, head of good length with correct stop, nice reach of neck, good
angulation, moved soundly; 3 Wallis’ Freejack First Knight at Norfield.
PGD (3) 1 Griffiths’ Alopex
Skymaster Blue, young b/m, nicely balanced overall, head handles well, well
moulded foreface, good eye giving nice expression, well set ears used to
advantage, good reach of neck, correct length of body, sound & steady mover but
not in his best jacket; 2 Eke’s Foxearth Fred Perry, masculine & upstanding tri,
in excellent condition & full bloom, good wedge head, flat skull, nice eye, good
construction which was shown in his positive movement. Let down by his ear
carriage; 3 Wallis’ Freejack First Knight at Norfield.
LD (3) 1 Winter & Unwin’s Sturtmoor
Alexavier Odessy at Snowtrekka, tri of good size, in good condition, nice
overall conformation, nice eye, well used neat ears. Although would prefer
better rear angulation he still moved soundly; 2 Moore’s Manordeifi Solar
Eclipse, masculine tri, very heavy coat around neck spoiling his outline. Good
conformation, balanced head, good eye & expression, movement true; 3 Wallis’
Norfield White Knight. OD (5,1a) 1
Norman & Ratcliffe’s Ch Foxearth Flash Past, s/w, judged at his very first show
& even at such a young age he showed such promise & have watched him since
mature into a very worthy ch, pleased to be able to now award him top honours.
In sparkling condition, good conformation, quality head, lovely wedge flat
skull, well shaped eye & nice expression, neat & well placed ears, moved
soundly, all together he just fills the eye as a well balanced lovely Smooth
Collie & excellent showman. CC & BOB; 2 Forbes’ Pelghart Paint It Black at
Willowhurst, lot to like about this young dog & it was unfortunate that he was
up against one of my favourite dogs. Masculine & upstanding, in full bloom &
nicely presented, well balanced head, nice stop, good skull, neat well used
ears, good reach of neck, good conformation, movement was smooth & true, nicely
handled. RCC; 3 Lister’s Ch Eridor Im Mr Blu at Newarp.
PB (2) 1 Neff’s Hightri Until, very
feminine pretty b/m at her first show, well balanced overall, nice head, well
shaped & dark eye, good ears & conformation, movement OK but very unsettled. BP;
2 Marsden’s Rowvale Rags To Riches, tri in good condition. Head needs to mature
& ears a little high. Good conformation, moved OK.
JB (2,1) 1 Moore’s Manordeifi
Silvadora, b/m, in good condition, head of good length, flat skull, nice eye.
Would prefer ears a little higher. Good front, rear & length of body, moved with
drive. PGB (5,1) 1 Giddings’
Foxearth Gold Filligree, feminine s/w, nice size & shape, well balanced head,
nice eye, well moulded foreface, good construction, in excellent condition,
nicely handled & presented, movement sound. RCC; 2 Griffiths’ Alopex Out Of The
Blue, pretty b/m of good colour, nice head of correct type, eye & neat ears,
good overall balance & construction, sound mover; 3 French’s Lillymead Amazing
Grace. LB (4) 1 Robinson’s Dawcher
Dream Searcher, tri who you appreciate more after handling, good angulations,
nice length of body & reach of neck, nice head, neat ears well used, moves with
drive; 2 Hutchings’ Foxearth Fluorescence at Malloney, very feminine b/m of
excellent colour, in good condition, neat ears used well. Would prefer more
rounded foreface. Has a nice shape & outline. A little unsettled when moving; 3
Moore’s Manordeifi Silver Dawn. OB
(5,3) 1 Hayward’s Sandcastle’s As You Like It at Foxearth, young b/m with
appealing outline, good reach of neck, nice length of body, head well balanced,
correct stop & flat skull, nice eye, excellent showgirl, in sparkling condition,
moved out well. CC; 2 Robinson’s Hilltarn Valentine, tri, well balanced head,
neat ears, good construction which enabled her to move with drive.
