My remarks on individual exhibits reflect that I was able, in most classes, to choose exhibits that should be able to work. However, I could not help but wonder how some of the entry had actually qualified. Points which concerned me were some grossly weak underjaws. Which  were obscured by the upper. Feet were quite a worry, with thin shallow pads and greatly spread toes, in no way could they sustain round the clock work. A few tails tended to be a little short. Some eyes were more like rounded marbles, this losing the called for expression. My thanks for the good humoured reception of my awards.

VD. (3). 1. MacGregor’s, Ch. Moon Walker from Misstoff. So well balanced and sound. Good head proportions. Nice neck and well placed shoulders. Good forechest and brisket. Firm loin. Excellent rear. Nice action. 2. Howe’s, Ch. Rowvale Rainbow Warrior. In excellent condition for 10 years and with such nice feet. Good on head and expression. Super shoulder and front. Well held topline. Good hindquarters. Moved easily and well. 3. Larsson’s, Int/N/S/Dk Omeway’s Rock n Roll. Left the ring before I could take notes. Wasn’t so well collected on the move as those above him. Can come up on pasterns to advantage which affected movement.

SpJD. (4). Very difficult class due to variety of type and degrees of soundness. 1. Fort’s, Shulune Lord Haldir. Nicely headed with good eye and expression. Nice forehand. Slack on pasterns. Body coming quite well for age with good depth of brisket and well held topline. Good rear. Easy action. 2. French’s, Chicnoir Follow On. Close up to winner with pleasing expression. Nice forehand. Slack on feet and pasterns. Body coming along quite well. Good stifle. Needs more confidence to show and more with greater assurance. 3. Forbes’s, Pelghart Paint it Black at Willowhurst. Well grown and with developed body. Strong head. Sloppy in pastern action and lacking steadiness at rear. Res. Winter and Unwin’s, Sturtmoor Alexavier Odessy at Snowtrekka.

PGD. (10). This class contained some rather high carried tails. 1. Purvey’s, Norfield Silver Knight for Freejack. Very well constructed and balanced overall. Good head and eye. Nice clean forehand and good feet. Good body development with nice ribbing and brisket. Strong loin. Sound rear. Pleasing coat texture. Good sound mover. 2. Thone’s, Pelghart Piper’s, Gold. Nice head and expression. Good neck and forehand. Little down on pasterns. Sound rear with nice stifle. Gave good and easy action but can settle a little more in topline. 3. Sewell’s, Foxearth Flintoff for Lewarne. Somewhat unhelpful to his handler, who tried so hard to steady him. Lovely head and eye. Good neck and shoulder. Body developing well with nice ribbing. Sound all over and now needs time. Res Eke’s, Foxearth Fred Perry.
