Smaller but nicely constructed sable, head falls away slightly in backskull, moved well, slightly hesitant temperament. 3, Winter & Unwin’s Sturtmoor Alexavier Oddessey ar Snowtrekka.

JD (5) 1 RCC, Lister’s Eridor I’m Mr Blu at Newarp. Top quality 17 month b/m, balanced head, parallel planes & clean stop, neat alert ears, crested neck set in well angulated shoulders, strong topline & rounded quarters, clear well broken colour, in excellent coat & condition, moved well, better in front action than 2. 2, Forbes Pelghart Paint It Black at Willowhurst. 3, Wallis’ Norfield White Knight.

PG (1) 1, Forbes’ Pelghart Pied Piper at Willowhurst. Smaller tri lad, sweet head & expression which could have been more masculine to advantage, body has good balance & angulation, would prefer a better rounded croup, gay tail spoiled outline on the move.

LD (2, 1)1, Wallis’ Norfield Soul Mate. Powerful upstanding sable lad, masculine head & expression, well placed alert ears, parallel planes, neat dark eyes, crested neck, body powerful & well angulated, well rounded quarters, superb tight jacket, good profile action but slightly unsettled coming on. Make no mistake this is an exceptional dog & a great credit to his breeder, but I found him just a little strong all through & preferred the gentler expression of the CC winner.

OD (1) 1 CC, BOB, Hales Londer Look Smart. Breathtakingly beautiful sable male with excellent tight jacket, absolutely right for my tastes, super head, long & balanced with parallel planes, neat dark almond eyes & perfectly placed alert ears all combining in a gentle tho thoroughly masculine expression. Crested neck, super forehand, good lay of shoulder & return of upper arm, sufficient depth, strong well formed topline, rounded quarters & good rear angulation, well placed tail carried low. When moving away initially he objected to going into a blind corner, but overcame that to demonstrate a good true action & outstanding profile gait.

BITCHES

PB (1) 1 Fort’s Shulune Lady of Lorien. Delightfully pretty s/w, nice head, neat dark eyes, well placed alert ears, parallel planes & good balance, would prefer a little more underjaw and the nose tends to drop off slightly, balanced body, good angles, very nice tight jacket, movement positive & true.

JB (4,2) 1, French’s Lilymead Amazing Grace. Pretty blue bitch, lovely head & expression, well placed eyes, alert ears, body balanced & well angulated, jacket tight & of a clear well broken blue, smooth fluent action, very nice indeed. 2, Trundley’s Lilymead Alisa. Another nice blue, litter sister to Grace & having many of the same qualities, her forehand angulation is not quite as good, however, & as a result she tends to break her wrist in profile action, also her coat is rather open, however she is still a pretty bitch.

PGB (2,1) 1 RCC, Stilgoe’s Foxearth Fatal Beauty at Yeldust. This sable bitch has glorious balance & quality, very pretty head, dark eyes & well placed ears giving a dreamy expression, excellent body proportions & angulation, beautifully rounded quarters, tail placed & carried well, action true coming & going, fluent in profile.

LB (3,1) 1 CC, Burton’s Glencorrie Begorgeous. Superb tri bitch, delightful feminine head, slightly too full in eye for perfection, ears placed well & used constantly, glossy tight jacket, excellent shoulder, topline & quarters, excellent action. 2, Hutchings & Waite’s Foxearth Fluorescence at Molloney. Pretty blue, lovely jacket texture & colour, head rather too fine all through, action very diffident.

OB (2) 1, Gay’s Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane. Shapely bitch, pretty head & expression, excellent ears, tight close jacket of excellent texture but rather heavily marked with black, moved very well. 2, Leach’s Hilltarn Valentine. JW, larger bitch, less elegant & refined than Kiri, simply superb head, good shoulder & topline, well rounded quarters, coat rather too open & profuse around the neck, moved well.
