I was extremly disappointed in the lack of quality in the exhibits entered and it gives me no pleasure in criticising the dogs.
MPD. (3). 1. Hindes’, Chicnoir Moolight Spirit. Blue merle of good colour. Rather small for age. Balanced head but needs to clear in stop, good ears, nice eye shape giving a fair expression. Nice conformation but very slack in topline. Very poor presentation. Moved ok. 2 Thorne’s, Pelghart Pipers Gold. Well grown s/w. Long lean balanced head. Very full in stop. Poor expression, undersirable receding skull. Moved ok but very badly carried gay tail. 3. Forbes’, Pelghart Pied Piper.
PD. (4). 1. Wallis’s, Norfield Soul Mate. Well up to size s/w. Excellent conformation. Very good head, excellent eye and expression. Good ear carriage, correct stop. Moved very well. Tail carriage slightly gay. BP. 2. Thores’, Pelghart Pipers Gold. 3. Forbes’s, Pelghart Pied Piper.
JD. (2). 1. Forbes’s, Shulune Lord of Ladros. Very poorly presented s/w. Balanced head but rather deep through, full in eye and ears a little light giving poor expression. Skull recedes. Conformation ok. Fair movement but gay tail.
PGD. (2). 1. Griffiths’, Alopex Highland Fling. Well balanced head, nice expression but would prefer a better shaped eye. Excellent conformation. Moved very well with correct tail carriage. Very well presented. 2. Hindes’, Chicnoir Snow Wolf. Small blue merle who is to dark in colour. Head is strong in skull, correct stop, excellent eye giving good expression, good ears. Coat is rather open. Moved ok.
LD. (3). 1. Evans’s, Manordeifi Smart Guy at Southcombe. S/w. Excellent balanced head, correct stop, good ear carriage. Lovely dark eyes of good shape giving excellent expression. Excellent conformation. Very good front. Moved true but lacked any drive. Tail could have been carried lower. RCC. 2. Hindes’, Chicnoir Best Mate. Lovely rich s/w. Very good head, nice expression but would prefer a smaller eye. Good conformation. Moved ok. 3. Moores’, Manordifi Solar Eclipse.
OD. (3). 1. Hindes’, Chicnoir Quartermaster. Golden s/w. Balanced head, correct shaped dark eyes giving excellent expression. Excellent conformation. Very well presented in sparkling condition. Not a born showman. Superb movement long stride which appeared quite effortless. CC. 2. Croman’s, Hilltarn Steel River of Cromarty. B/m of good colour. Balanced head but deep through. Very good eye and expression, good ears. Fair neck but throaty. Nice conformation. Far too heavily coated. Moved ok. Gay tail. 3. Chapman’s, Sharidon Touch of Frost.
PB. (1). 1. Leach’s, Hilltarn Sweet Dreams. Tri. Head is slightly unbalanced and recedes in skull. Nice shaped dark eyes and good ears. Conformation ok. Poor coat. Moved well. Gay tail.
JB. (2). 1. Thorne’s, Shulune Lady of Rohan. S/w. Balanced head, skull recedes. Nice eye giving fair expression. Very throaty in neck. Very good coat. Nice conformation. Very poor hind movement.
PGB. 1. Griffiths’, Alopex Confelli Blue. Excellent coloured b/m. Balanced head good eyes, nice expression. Needs to fill in back skull. Good neck, excellent front and conformation. Moved very well. Presentation good. 2. Chapmans’, Shandon Luck be a Lady. Tri. Good head and expression. Carrying too much weight. Could have better front angulation. Moved well.
LB. (5). 1. Robinson’s, Hilltarn Valentine JW. Tri with excellent conformation and in superb condition. Lovely head, excellent shaped dark eyes giving good expression. Very good bone and feet. Excellent mover. CC and BOB. 2. Whittingham’s, Southcombe Society Girl. Tri. Well balanced head, nice expression, eyes could be a shade darker and ears a bit tighter in carriage. Excellent conformation. Moved very well. RCC. 3. Gibson’s, Pelghart Private Dancer.
OB. (2). 1. Gay’s, Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane Sh CM. B/m of good colour but two heavily marked. Excellent conformation. Good head, nice eyes and expression. Moved flat footed. 2. Hindes’, Ch. Snuggletooth Flurry’s Filly. Tri. Nice type head, lovely eye and expression. Slack in topline. Short tail. Poor movement.
