It was a great pleasure and privilege to judge at this show. My thanks to all who made this possible, and a special thank you to all those who had travelled long distances to give me such a pleasing entry, which must augur well for the breed. Temperaments were excellent, as was presentation. I was pleased with all the lovely bitches, and there was only one absentee.
PD. (2). 1. Fort’s, Chicnoir Lord of the Ring with Shulune. S/w. Lovely puppy. Good head with clean wedge, nice eye. Good reach of neck. Well bodied. Moved and showed well. 2. Hayward’s, Foxearth Fine Feathers. Another most promising youngster. Pleasing in head, not quite as forward as winner, but two puppies are most promising.
JD. (2). 1. Hayward’s, Foxearth High Falutin. S/w I have to be honest and say this young dog was so impressive, I just loved him. Beautifully balanced overall. Classic head, correct wedge, well filled foreface, correct stop, flat skull. Lovely eye and expression and good ears. Lovely reach of neck, well set onto a well angulated shoulder. Good body with good bone. Long tail well set and carried. Moved well and is such a showman, but he has everything to go with that style. CC. I will watch his career with interest. 2. Fort’s, Chicnoir Lord of the Ring with Shulune.
OD. (4). 1. Macgregor’s, Ch. Moon Walker from Misstroff. Beautiful dog, a tri colour and so well constructed. Good in head, well bodied, balanced dog. Moved well. A worthy Champion. RCC. 2. Griffith’s, Alopex Going Equipped. Most pleasing b/m. Well bodied with a nice head. Good bone. Shows well. 3. Kinsey’s, Foxearth Finlander of Sturtmoor.
PB. (1). 1. Kinsey’s, Chicnoir Ice Krystal of Sturtmoor. Lovely tri colour baby of just 8 months. Such a sweet head, good in neck and shoulders. Most promising lass. Just needs to settle on the move, but time will be on her side and she is a real sweetie.
JB. (1). 1. Robinson’s, Hilltarn Valentine. Tri. Another very nice one. Pleasing head with good balance. Good in body. Shows well.
PGB. (2). 1. Gibson’s, Pelghart Private Dancer. I have written stylish in my notes and this tri colour certainly is. Well balanced, pleasing head, good in body. Scored in movement. Much to like about her. 2. Griffiths’s, Alopex Plum Lush. Another very nice bitch. Well constructed. Good in body. Shows well.
LB. (6). 1. Macgregor’s, Southcombe Sophisticate at Rowvale. And sophisticated she is. Lovely head and expression. Good reach of neck with good lay of shoulder. Well bodied. Moved well. 2. Hill’s, Devern Dark Mistress. Pleasing one, with nice head. Good bone. Shows well. 3. Robinson’s, Southcombe Sweet as a Nut.
OB. (5). 1. Hayward’s, Foxearth Fanfare To Oh La La. S/w. Stunning bitch, beautiful outline. So well balanced. Lovely head with correct wedge, good eye and expression. Good reach of neck. Well arched and set on to a good lay of shoulder. Good bone. Long tail well set and carried. So very feminine. CC her third and BOB. 2. Hill’s, Devern Blue Silhouette. B/m. Most attractive blue merle with much to like about her. Another with pleasing head. Good in neck and shoulder. Well balanced. Moved and showed well. RCC. 3. Fort’s, Chicnoir Elusive Dream at Shulune.
A Hutchison
