MPD. (1). 1. Hindes’, Snuggletooth Filly’s Fell at Chicnoir. 6 months old tri very nice for type. He has a good outline, nice head with good stop and well placed eye, giving the desired expression, as his age suggests needs to flatten a little in skull. He has good ears. Only needs to firm up in backline and strengthen in bone. He has a good turn of stifle. As he was quite excited with the proceedings, his movement was difficult to assess, promising baby.
PD. (2). 1. Hindes’, Chicnoir Best Mates. Well grown 11 months old sable. He presents a good overall profile. Good depth of rib. Moved well behind, but inclined to toe in slightly in front. A little heavy in head. He has a moulded foreface. Although I would prefer a better stop placement. Well placed eye and well filled skull. Well handled. BPD. 2. Moores’, Manordeifi Solar Eclipse. Tri almost a year old. He is very well grown and I would consider him to be the maximum size and quite long in body. Consequently he needs to firm up in backline, and I would prefer him better angulated behind. He is very masculine in outlook and rather too deep through in head profile and needs to fill in backskull. I feel he is a dog who needs time to come into himself.
JD. (2). 1. Hindes’, Chicnoir Best Mates. 2. Moores’, Manordeifi Solar Eclipse.
PGD. (6). How nice to see a class of mostly sables considering the tri’s and merle’s are in predominance, this class. 1. Norman’s, Foxearth Flashpast. 18 months old sable who had everything right about him. Perhaps not the neck and glamour of the second but what a quality dog! This dog impressed me enormously as he has the most beautiful head with parallel planes, just the right amount of stop, well placed eye, moulded foreface and beautiful ears. Good front depth of rib and hindquarters. Initially he started pacing, but found on moving for the second time he settled down into a steady gait. He can lift his tail a little, but found he was not isolated in this respect, feel this dog will be a great asset to the breed, as he has a great deal to offer. Within time, I think he will undoubtedly achieve his title with ease. He came extremely close to taking the CC. Just did not settle down enough on the the move on the day. RCC. 2. Hindes’, Foxearth Olivers Footprint to Chicnoir. 22 months old sable, he certainly takes the eye for his overall glamour. He has a superb neck and shoulder, and full shawl collar. He is quite well grown, therefore not quite the angulation behind of the winner. Moved a little erratic on front, but quite well behind. He has a well filled skull, good ears and a well placed eye. I would prefer a better stop placement, also a better mose and lipline in profile. 3. Evans’s, Southcombe Sunset Shadow.
LD. (4). Griffiths’, Alpoex Going Equipped. Merle almost 3 years old the most mature quite glamourous with full collar using his neck well. Good depth of body. He has quite a heavy patch on one side. Although a striking colour. He moved well, being happy with his tail. He has a very well moulded head with well filled foreface, good stop and well filled skull, and very good ears which he used. His expression is spoiled somewhat as he is rather full and light eye, but he is masculine upstanding dog. Presenting a good profile. Well muscled with good bone. 2. Hayward’s, Foxearth Flexible Friend. Tri of 18 months who appealed greatly for his head, eye and expression. Not quite the depth of rib as first and less mature. Has all the basic essentials, although he seemed somewhat distracted at times. Moved quite well. Happy with his tail. One whom it will be interesting to see how he matures. 3. Hindes’, Chicnoir Quartermaster.
OD. (6). 1. MacGregor’s, Ch. Moonwalker from Mistoff. 4 years old tri in his prime. Looked impressive standing, as he stands four square, with good hind angulation and well muscled. He presents a good profile, although I would prefer him stronger in backline. He has a well moulded head with well filled skull, good stop and moulded foreface, well placed eye and good ears. I would prefer him with a tighter lipline. However, he is a balanced dog, who moved well and gave off his best. CC and BOB. 2. Kinsey’s, Foxearth Finlander of Sturtmoor. 2. years old merle and much less mature. However, he has a clean head with good stop, flat skull and a beautiful eye and expression and good ears. Not quite the shoulders of first and needs to develop in his foreface, but has good hind angulation and movement and maturity which will take him further. 3. Ucks’, Dark Motif from Misstoff.
MPB. (4). 1. Sewell’s, Foxearth via Lewarne. Immediately took my eye for her outstanding profile. Although she is well enough grown for the 6 months, she has a swan like neck let into excellent shoulders. Good length of body, good front and hindquarters. She has a well filled flatksull and superb ears, well placed eye and rounded foreface. As she is only a baby one can forgive her lack of stop, as she has everything else going for her, a promising puppy. 2. Burton’s, Glencorrie Beorgeous. Tri of just 7 months. Again has the outline which takes the eye. Although shorter coupled than first, stands well in front. Good bone and she is very sweet in eye and expression with good ears. Her stop breaks rather low. She has good hindquarters. and moved well. 3. Curtis’s, Snuggletooth Fill’s Fancy.
PB. (3). 1. Moores’, Manordeife Silver Dawn. Appealed and took my eye when she came into the ring. 11 months old merle, although at this age is in need of a cast, as she is showing sable overtones in her coat. However, her head is quite lovely with well filled flat skull, good stop, moulded foreface and good underjaw. She has a good ear carriage, lovely dark eye giving the desired expression. She has a good neck and outline. Good bone and hindquarters. Unfortunately she has a high tailset, which invariably spoils the picture on the move. However, her virtues far outweighed this common fault throughout the breed and won BP. 2. French’s, Chicnoir Sabretta. 9 months old tri. Sweet bitch, very sound moving behind with excellent tail carriage, but her front action leaves room for improvement. She has a well placed eye and good ears. Needs to settle in head.
JB. (1). 1. Moores’, Manordeife Silver Dawn.
PGB. (5). 1. MacGregors’, Southcombe Sophisticate at Rowvale. Tri by far the most mature. Perhaps a little on the heavy size, but she has a lovely neck and shoulders. She has all the glamour with full white collar, showing sable overtones in her coat and looks as if she could be about to cast. Good depth of rib and moved very soundly. She has a good head with parallel planes, good skull and dark eye and beautiful ears. I feel she is strong enough in foreface and a little lippy. She moved very soundly and could not be denied the class. 2. Douglas’s, Foxearth Speckled Wood. Tri initially thought would be the winner. She is feminine with beautiful body lines and just right for size. She is very sweet in outlook with a lovely eye and expression. She has a little white blaze to one side, which was quite attractive. Although on the day was suffering from a sore eye, it was a pity that she insisted on pacing on the move. After several attempts she improved a little but her movement was quite inconsistent with her construction. 3. Frenchs’, Chicnoir Eternal Star at Tfrendet.
LB. (6). 1. Gays’, Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane. This bitch is quite a heavily marked blue, but having said that she has quite a number of virtues. She presented a good overall profile with her lovely head, with parallel planes, correct stop, blue and brown eyes, moulded foreface and good lipline. Good neck and shoulder. Her movement was a joy to see as she moved with considerable drive from the rear and excellent front extension when viewed in profile. Stood and showed well. 2. Speding’s, Antoc Fascination. Feminine tri who presents an attractive outline. Another sound moving bitch. She has a pretty head with well placed eye giving the desired expression, good ears. Good neck. I feel she needs time to mature in body and would like to see her stronger in bone. Nevertheless a lovely bitch. 3. Hill’s, Devern Dark Mistress.
OB. (5). This was a very
nice class, all were top class bitches which was a joy to handle. 1. Hayward’s,
Foxearth Castles in the Sky. G/s almost 2 years old. Ultra feminine with a
beautiful neck and outline. Good depth and spring of rib. Having all the glamour
to take the eye. She has a full collar and straight front to enhance her
profile. I would prefer her to be firmer in backline, but she is quite an
independent young lady who had other ideas than striking a pose. She eventually
settled enough for me to assess her most lovely head, with parallel planes. Flat
skull, correct stop and moulded foreface. Correctly placed dark eye, giving the
sweetest of expression. She eventually settled and transformed into a most
elegant stature. Moved quite well with good tail carriage. I thought her quite
lovely. CC. Hill’s, Devern Blue Silhoette. Merle who really pressed the winner
hard. She looked a picture standing with her glorious reach of neck. Excellent
body and bone. She has the most lovely head with well filled skull, correct
stop, moulding of foreface. Her most lovely eye and expression, to gether with
good ear carriage enhanced her overall outlook. Moved quite well. Slightly
stronger than first in head, but in complete balance. I gave her father a CC
therefore it was not surprising that I found her a feminine version of the same.
3. Curtis’s, Ch. Snuggletooth Flurry’s, Filly.
