My thanks to exhibitors for a lovely entry and to the organisers for a day to remember. Several dogs could have gone higher if they had co-operated with their handlers, and some were rather overweight.  Lovely eye shape and placement are not a feature of the breed at present.

S.P.D. 5 (1) 1 Norman’s Foxearth Flash Past. Well angulated light sable d, nice feet and legs lovely firm topline which he held well on the move. Nice eye of good colour, well-used ears Played up on the move but sound when settled. 2 Smiths’ Tentola Foreign Liaison. Tri of lovely type with ex slope of shoulder, good topline. Slightly excessive slope over croup, lovely legs and neat feet, with good bone. Moved well. Nice head and expression but stop needs time to clear, very well presented and handled. 3 Curtis’ Chicnoir Snowberry at Snuggletooth. Tri of smaller stamp, good eye and used ears well. Lovely front and rear angulation.

S.J.D. 2 1 Hindes’ Chicnoir Quartermaster. V.good type, well marked sable. Lovely head and eye, parallel planes. Good legs and neat feet, well bent stifles, needs to tighten all round but is young enough. 2 Kinsey’s Foxearth To Twist Fate of Sturtmoor. Slightly finer boned sable and white of good colour who now needs a lot of time to mature. Nice head and expression and used ears well. Good topline held well on move.

P.G.D. 5 1 Evans’ Rowvale Storm Rising at Southcombe. Reserve CC.  Something a little bit special about this tri, starting with lovely conformation, good bone and ex legs with neat feet. Moved v well and held his topline all the time. Little to fault and good markings just add to the picture. 2 Kinsey’s Foxearth Finlander of Sturtmoor. B/m of nicely broken colour, with lovely white markings. Good head and expression but ears a little troublesome. Nice legs and feet, well bodied, held his tail well but looked a little bored. 3 Richards' Manordeifi Style Master. 21-month old tri who needs lots of time to fill out and mature. Good topline, legs and feet, long tail, moved O.K.

LD. 5 1 Westby’s Lowerpark Pipe Major, tricolour of very nice type and  good markings. Nice head, used ears well, good angulation front and rear, neat feet and firm, well held topline. Well set and carried tail, handler moved superbly round the ring. 2 Purvey’s Tanboree Jack Frost, B/M who was carrying just a little excess weight, which threw his right front out. However his angulation is excellent. He has a good head with nice, kind expression and well carried ears. Colour darkening a bit too much. 3 Tuck’s tri Dark Motif from Misstoff. Lighter stamp. Ex jacket with good markings. Chest now needs to drop. Little proud of tail and ears could be better. Held topline well on the move.

O D. 4 1 and CC with B.O.B. MacGregor’s Ch Moon Walker from Misstoff. Beautifully marked tri with lovely head and expression, with ex ears which he used non stop. Chest well let down, angulation v. good fore and aft, good legs and feet and well bent stifle. Held his topline standing and on the move. Immaculately presented and handled and really fills the eye. 2 Haywards’ Foxearth Sandy Footprints. Lovely s/w. v. showy with good markings. Good angulation, topline and bone. Lovely long tail. Just threw it all away in his hind movement to-day. 3 Whittingham’s Southcombe Sterling  Well marked b/m who is improving well as he matures. Good angulation, little wide in front, held topline and moved v. well.  Eyes looked sore.

V D. 3 1Maile’s Colinro Chippendale. 8-year old tri carrying his years well.  Lovely head with kind eye and expression. Ex angulation, still holds his topline on the move. Coat on the blow. Moved well, 2 French’s Delmbush Crackerjack at Frendet. Seven year old b/m, in excellent condition. Colour darkening now with age, but well marked and broken. Good angulation so moved well. Tail could be better. 3 Purvey’s Chicnoir Midnight Magic at Freejack. Well marked tri of good proportions, neat legs and feet. Ears a little light. S.P.B.  2 1 MacGregor’s Southcombe Sophisticate. V. attentive tri with lovely head, well moulded foreface, good stop. Slightly full in eye. Beautifully angulated, nice bone and feet, held topline on the move, well carried tail, and in really good condition. 2 Bullion’s Foxearth Flame of Love at Ostarain. Finer boned and needs more ring experience. Kind eye, good topline and tail length. Needs to tighten all round, which will  come.

J.B. 7 1 Fort’s Chicnoir Elusive Dream. Most lovely shaded sable, ex conformation and moved accordingly with level topline. Good fore and aft, ex legs and feet and really nice shoulder angulation. Well presented and showed like a trouper. 2 Stuenzner’s Turella’s Moon Flower. Well marked and broken b/m from Germany. Slightly finer. Lovely head and expression, good angulation, legs and feet. Showed well for her handler. 3 Purvey’s Chicnoir Hors La Loi the Third. Tri with very full white collar. Liked her build and although a bit overcome by the noise and bustle, her movement was sound and true, and she held her topline well. V. sweet head and expression and you have to admire her bags of character.

P.G.B. 8 (1) 1Robinson’s Southcombe Sweet as a Nut, S/W. Super conformation. Level topline and v. well angulated. Maturity suits this one. Nice head and expression and well-used ears, sweet eye, good stop, and soft colour. One to be proud of. 2 Meacham’s Rowvale Ring o’ Roses at Zellamers, another lovely colour, slightly finer.   Good angulation and topline, Feet need attention. 3 Gay’s Hilltarn Kiri at Yagane. Heavily marked b/m who won this place on her super conformation. V. attentive and full of character, ears well used. Would have liked a little more tail. Lovely bone, straight legs and neat feet, v. nice b.

L.B. 10 (1) 1 Hyde’s Foxerth Fondant. Well made S/w. Nice expression and used ears well. To be super critical I would like a little more underjaw. V. attentive to her owner. Moved well and held her topline throughout. 2 Haywards’ Foxearth Fanfare to Oh La La. Another good sable, not quite so relaxed in the show ring. Nice eye and expression, stop still needs to clear a little. 3 Hill’s Devern Blue Silhouette. Lovely blue merle, well broken with good, well placed white. V.V. good conformation with straight front and good feet, so movemet was excellent. I would have liked a longer foreface, and a smigeon more tail to complete the picture.

OB. 8 (1) 1 and CC. Haywards’ Foxearth Finess at Sandwick. B/M b who stands really well. Nicely broken colour and full white collar. Good head and expression, used ears well. Ex. Angulation, neat feet, front and rear. Level, well held topline, good forechest. In the challenge tended to hold her head down. 2 Moore’s Ch Manordeifi Silver Serenade. Lovely clear b/m of well broken colour. Good head and expression and well-used ears, Needs road work to tighten all round. A great favourite of mine 3 Smith’s Ochilview Proper Madam of Tentola. Well made tri with really good head and expression. Moved quite well , but I felt she needed to muscle up a little more.

VB. 4 1 Sewell’s Ch Foxearth Farah. Res. CC. Tri, a great favourite of mine partic. because of her lovely conformation. Had got everything together today. Sweetest expression, and ex ears  - no problem here. Still holds a level topline standing and on the move, and has really good angulation. A complete picture. 2 Leach’s Hilltarn Hopeful. B/m ex. for her age. Showed really well for her handler.   Colour darkening now.  Ex conformation and movement. Topline not quite so good although one has to look beyong the black saddle-patch on her spine. Really nice ten-year old who has improved with age. 3 Forbes Joeileen Harmony. Tri who moved well for her age. Good angulation, and very attentive.
