An honour to judge a lovely entry of numerous quality exhibits. All temperaments were exemplary, breed type was good across the board, coats in most exhibits were blowing. We need to be mindful about fronts given that upper arms are becoming too steep, causing the exhibits to short step in front. That said my principal winners were of outstanding quality. *VD/B* (8) 1 Lusty's Juniperwood Just a Dream, 7 ½ yrs Tri female of good breed type, well balanced head with correct almond eye and well-set ears, strong neck of good length into well laid shoulder. She was well balanced throughout with medium bone, would prefer tighter feet. Good proportion height to length, good depth of brisket, lovely backline rising gently over loins, into a well moulded croup & tailset. Strong hindquarters with a good width of thigh. She was sound both ways with a smooth, effortless side gait. Well Handled, BVIS. 2 Benton's Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle, 9 yrs b/merle female, another of good breed type, lovely head & expression, good mouth, eye and ear set. Slightly shorter in coupling compared to winner making her quite square in appearance. Strong neck into well laid shoulder, steep in upper arm, good feet. Good depth of brisket and lovely backline into well moulded croup & tailset. Correct rear angles. She was sound both ways with a steady side gait, lacking the forward reach of winner. 3 Leach's Manordeifi Dionysus at Hilltarn, 7 years b/merle male, heavier in build than winner, lovely balanced head, wide set ears, strong neck into well laid shoulder, good fore angles, good depth of chest, rises very high over rump due to insufficient hind angles. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait, lacking drive of 1&2. *PD* (2) 1 Robinson's Daracha Damson, 6 months Tri male, a lovely quality male of good angles & proportions, he was a typical baby needing to strengthen & develop in the hind limbs. Super headpiece with a nice dark eye, good mouth, ears carried well, good reach on neck into well laid shoulder. He was well balanced throughout with ample bone. Sound both ways with a lovely side gait, when he settled. 2 Kinsey's Westbridge Blue Field, 9 months b/merle, much lighter in build than winner for me, super headpiece with lovely planes, good mouth, correct almond eye, ears slightly wider set, strong neck into well laid shoulder, steep in upper arm, ample bone and good feet. Lovely backline into well moulded croup, good turn of stifle and strong hocks. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait, lacking the desired reach in front. Well handled. *SpYD* (4) 1 Beeney's Coneypark Black Sabbath, 18 months Tri, a quality male of good breed type, lovely well-proportioned head piece, good mouth, lovely dark eye of correct shape, ears set on well, strong neck into well laid shoulder. He was well balanced throughout with lovely angles & proportions, stood on ample bone and tight feet. Correct proportions height to length, good depth of brisket with good ribbing, strong back with slight rise over loin into short croup, strong hindquarters with good width of thigh. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait showing good length of stride. Shown in good coat & condition. Res Best Dog. 2 Tiranti's Wynele Sea Captain Garthfield, 14 months b/merle, slightly smaller and longer than winner, lovely headpiece, good mouth, wide set ears, correct length of neck into well laid shoulder, steep in u/s, good depth of brisket, back needs to strengthen, well moulded croup with good set on of tail, stood straight behind. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait lacking length in stride. 3 Cowling & Sell's Koczkodan Nostromo, 20 months Tri, a shade deeper in stop but well-proportioned headpiece, ear carried well, strong neck into well laid shoulder, steep in upper arm not affording him the desired front reach on the move, stood on ample bone. Good depth of brisket, strong backline into well moulded croup and strong hindquarters. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait. *PGD* (1) 1 Forbes' Natalain Star Lord at Willowhurst, 23 months sable male of medium size, slightly square in outline, good mouth, nice dark eye, ears well placed, good depth of muzzle but slight taper at end of nose, strong neck into well laid shoulder, steep upper arm, medium bone & good oval feet, needs to develop a little in brisket, short back with nick behind wither, steep croup, and straighter than desired rear angulation. He was sound both ways with a steady side gait, lacking in reach & drive, needs to firm on the move. That said he was in good coat and well handled. *OD* (2,1) 1 Cole & Kinsey's Sturtmoor Dream of Kasvelyn, 3 ½ yrs sable male of good quality & breed type, excellent temperament, good mouth, lovely balanced headpiece with correct planes when viewed from all directions. Nice dark eye, good ears carried well, strong neck into well laid shoulder, he was well balanced throughout with lovely angles & proportions, stood on ample bone and nice oval feet, correct depth of brisket and good ribbing, firm back into well moulded croup and strong hindquarters. He was sound both ways with a lovely effortless side gait with a good length of stride, when he settled. A pleasure to award him Best Dog and BOS. Pushed hard in the challenge by Sp. Yearling winner. *PB* (3) 1 Benton's Oakestelle Artemis, 10 months b/merle, a medium sized female, lighter in build than I would prefer, correct headpiece but would prefer slight stop to break up the head planes, good mouth, good eye giving a lovely feminine expression, , good ears carried well, good length of neck into well laid shoulder, shade steep in upper arm, stood on medium bone, good depth of brisket, correct back rising slightly over the loin into a well moulded croup and set on of tail, Strong hindquarters. She was sound both ways with a steady side gait. Well handled. 2 Hooley's Foxearth Fashion for Jagentraum, 7 months Tri, a shade longer in proportion than winner, with high set hears, lovely headpiece, nice dark eye, good mouth, strong neck into well laid shoulder, steep upper arm, stood on medium bone, needs to develop with maturity, long back into well moulded croup and strong hindquarters with a moderate bend of stifle. She was sound both ways with a steady side gait, not the desired length of stride. 3 Robinson's Daracha Eclipse, 6 months tri, the real baby of the class who needs to develop throughout. Very difficult to assess her on the move as she would not settle. That said, she had a lovely well-proportioned headpiece, good mouth, well placed ears, good r/n into well laid shoulder, shade steep in upper arm, standing 10 to 2 in front, correct backline into well moulded croup, lovely hindquarters showing good width of thigh and straight hocks. *SpYB* (4) 1 Lusty & Williams' Blamorder Ice Cream Dream, 21 months b/merle, a quality female of good breed type, lovely balanced headpiece with good head planes viewed from all directions, good mouth, almond eye set well, ears well placed & carried alert at all times, strong neck into well laid shoulder, a shade steep in upper arm, stood on medium bone and oval feet. Stood on medium bone and oval feet, correct depth of brisket, a shade longer in loin, strong back into high rump and a well moulded croup, lovely well-proportioned hindquarters with a good width of thigh and straight hocks. She was sound both ways with a steady side gait. 3 Forbes' Willowhurst Vanity, 4 yrs Tri, medium sized female similar in type to 2nd with wider set ears and a lovely headpiece. She was giving her young handler a very hard time, especially on the move, but his determination paid off managing to settle her after what must have seemed like ages for him. She was sound both ways with a steady side gait lacking in forward reach due to her steep upper arm. *OB* (10) 1 Pietz-Kazantzis & Busby's Foxearth Fandella, 22 months medium sized Tri female of excellent quality & breed type, excellent temperament, good mouth, lovely balanced head piece with good planes when viewed from all angles, strong underjaw, dark almond eye giving her a lovely feminine expression, correct well placed ears carried well, strong neck of good length into well laid shoulder, she was well balanced throughout with lovely angles & proportions, stood on ample bone and tight oval feet, good depth of brisket and ribbing, strong backline which she held on the move, rising over loin into a well moulded croup & tailset forming a clean overline.
