Thank you everyone for their entries which will be my last judging appointment, & to the Collie Association for the invitation. Although there were several absentees on the day I was still pleased with my final winners.
V (3,2a) 1 Hartley’s Foxearth Silver Dream at Jimjack, 8½ years b/m bitch of good colour, nice size & overall shape. Clean head & well used ears. Sound movement. PD (3,1) 1 Norman’s Seanua Signature, very eyecatching, well presented, promising s/w puppy of 8 months. Clean & correct head, well filled foreface, clean stop, well placed dark eye giving kind expression, well set & used ears. Nicely put together with good bone, nice chest, good neck & length of back. He moves soundly with good drive for one so young. BP; 2 Cole’s Sturtmoor Dream of Kasvelyn, s/w 11 months. Head handles well, good stop, eye & ears. Although good outline & confirmation he was much finer in bone than I prefer. Moved soundly. LD (2,1) 1 Denton’s Ryecombe Jaffa Jake at Brackenhaye, well balanced tri of good size with typical head & good ears. Show well & moved OK. RBD. OD (5,4) 1 Norman & Ratcliffe’s Easy Listening at Seanua, masculine s/w shown in good coat & condition, with quality head, well moulded foreface, correct stop, & lovely flat skull. He has a lovely expression from dark well placed eyes & neat well set ears. He has a super reach of neck, good front & length of back with good rear angulation. Moved well, stood & showed to advantage. BD, well deserved BOB.
PB (3,1) 1 Theobald & Norman’s Seanua Softly Softly, nice coat & condition on this s/w litter sister to my BP. Head handles well with correct stop & dark set expressive eyes & well used ears. Good construction & appealing outline, although movement a bit erratic; 2 Hartley’s Foxearth Finnish Spirit at Jimjack, feminine tri of good shape & size & condition. Correct eyes with sweet expression, neat ears using them well. Would prefer head with more underjaw. Found her very straight in her hind movement. JB (2,1) 1 Moore’s Manordeifi Summer Magic, tri with clean head with correct stop, muzzle & flat skull. Well used ears although would prefer sweeter eye. Balanced overall for size & shape. Movement OK. PGB (2,1) 1 Brown’s Blamorder Back In Town, feminine tri of nice size with correct confirmation, correct head, well placed dark eye, neat ears which she uses to advantage. Sound movement. LB (4,2) 1 Peacock’s Blamorder Back To The Start for Saraneth, well presented tri of nice proportions & construction. Clean head although would prefer better eye. She is very much a show girl & makes the most of herself. Very positive on the move, keeping good topline. RBB; 2 Beeney’s Rycombe Jolly Jonquil at Coneypark, feminine s/w bitch of good overall confirmation & size. Nice shape eye & good ear placement but reluctant to use them today. Movement today was the decider in this class. OB (4,2) 1 Denton’s Ch Kevranna Theras Enate Echo, s/w who I have judged before. Shown in good coat & condition. Balanced head, flat skull, dark eye, correct set ears which she uses well. She has correct construction which showed in her good positive movement. BB, RBOB, BOS; 2 Russell’s Manordeifi Satin Doll of Koczkodan, tri of good size, shown in good coat & condition. Although stronger in head had well placed eye & ear set but a bit more reluctant to use them. Moved OK.
