Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge the Smooth Collies at this friendly Christmas Show. I particularly noticed the good condition of their teeth and the entry, though reduced by absentees, contained quality dogs that were a pleasure to judge. JD (1) 1 Benton's Oakstelle Vivaldi. 16 mth old, nicely marked tri, still maturing. Good head in balance with body, with nice front, length of neck and back, good angulation and spring of rib. Would like a little more substance. Hocks parallel standing and moving, moved out well and showed enough.OD (2) 1st , BD, RBOB & BOS  French's Breckamore Blushing Groom. Very nice, sturdy 18 mth old S/W  Head in balance with body, nice ear carriage, correctly placed ears, eyes and stop. Good strong length of neck, angle of shoulder and bend of stifle. Excellent bone, length of body with firm topline held on the move. Moved out on strong parallel limbs and showed well. 2  & RBD   Hutchings  Ch Collidach Molloney Ta Tu You. Balanced shape, head to body, smaller type to 1st. Would like a little more slope on shoulder and length of body. Good bend of stifle, moved and showed well. PB (1) 1 BPIB, BB, BOB & BIS  White's  Breckamore Bridget Jones.  Delightful 8 mth old , jet black, nicely marked tri. Well moulded head in balance with body, held on good length of neck, alert and correctly placed, nicely tipped ears, good eye, stop and rounded muzzle. Excellent lay of shoulder and bend of stifle, right amount of bone for size, firm topline and well sprung ribs. Strong limbs with parallel hocks. Had super ring presence, showed non-stop and had lovely outline when standing. Moved out keenly and very well and was pleased to award her BB and to see the referee award her BOB and BIS. JB (1) 1 Benton's  Oakestelle Venus De Milo.  6 mth old B/M  Beautiful colour and well marked. Very balanced shape, head to body, correct eye and ear placement, lay of shoulder and bend of stifle. Right amount of bone for size, would like a little more substance. Moved out well and showed beautifully. OB ( 5,2) 1 Benton's  Alopex  Marionette Of Oakstelle.  5 yo elegant and alert B/M. Attractive well moulded head, with nice eye, lovely ears and nicely rounded muzzle. Head in balance with body, good angulation and topline held on the move, nice spring of rib, right amount of bone for size and parallel hocks.
