SMOOTHS – V (2) 1 Evans’ Southcombe She’s The One, s/w bitch of good size & well made, well angulated at the front which enabled her to reach out & was strong on the move for a 9 year old, muscletone in the second thigh allowed her to drive, nice neck, good depth & breadth of chest, decent bone. I was happy with her weight, head qualities are variable, nice eye & good dentition but I would have preferred more foreface & tighter ears. BVB. PG (4) 1 Kennedy’s Ryecombe Deb’n Air, s/w dog, friendly, nice size, good front & rear angulation. On the move was a little loose but has plenty of time to manage his strong body. Correct length of tail, liked his head which was balanced & had length, nice eye & well set ears. RBD. L (2) 1 Robinson’s Southcombe Summer Special at Dawcher, s/w bitch, nice eye, tight ears & a good under jaw but is still a little immature in head which is to be expected. Nice neck into solid shoulders, correct front angulation which gave me reach, good depth & breadth of chest, sound topline on the move, rear assembly well made & nicely angulated which allows her to drive effortlessly, one for the future. BB, RBOB, RBIS by the referee; 2 Lister’s Manordeifi Miss Daisy at Newarp, tri bitch, decent head qualities & proportionate to size but her ears are a little low set. Good neck, front & rear assembly were good which enable her to move well, good bone & moderate substance. Lost out to a bitch superior in shape, movement, earset & eye placement but still a quality bitch, perhaps needs a little more time to mature. OD (2) 1 Lister’s Ch Eridor I’m Mr Blu at Newarp, b/m dog of good size, approaching 8 years, fully mature with strength & substance throughout with substantial bone, nice head with correct foreface, good underjaw & dentition, nice eye but I would prefer tighter ears. Correct front & rear assembly with a good length of tail, moved steadily, managed top honours on quality alone. BV, BOB, BIS, BVIS under the referee. OB (1) 1 Benton’s Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle, a b/m bitch, a fantastic colour, lovely feminine lean head, nice foreface, enough underjaw, nice eye but I would have preferred tighter ears. Front & rear assembly correct & moved out well, had sufficient bone & is the right size for a bitch but I wanted more overall substance & little more neck to give me the workmanlike physique & outline I look for in this breed. RBB.
