London Collie 2012 - 11 Feb 2012
Open show:It was a great pleasure and privilege to judge
at this show. My thanks to all who made this possible, and a special thank you
to all those who travelled long distances to give me such a pleasing entry.
Temperaments were excellent, as was presentation. we have some very promising
youngsters coming up, and there was only two absentees. V(2) 1
Ch Hiltarn Valentine JW. Quality Tri bitch. Well balanced head, well placed eye.
Good straight front. Nice reach of neck, firm topline, sound backend. In lovely
coat and condition. Never stops showing. Moved well. At 9 years of age still
looks a picture. BB, RBOB, BVIS. 2 Ch Alopex Highland Fling. Tri, lovely head,
dark eye, alert expression, but reluctant to use his ears, deep chest, correct
shoulder placement, neat feet, happy disposition, fluent free movement.
P(7) 1 Leach's Manordeifi Dionysus At Hilltarn. Well angulated merle,
nice feet and legs, lovely firm topline which he held on the move. Nice eye of
good colour, well used ears, played up on the move, but sound once settled. BP.
2 Robinson's Southcombe Summer Special At Dawcher. Another promising youngster.
Pleasing in head and eye. Good reach of neck. Well bodied. Moved and showed
well. 3 Lister's Manordeifi Miss Daisy At Newarp. J(1) 1 Moores'
Manordoeifi Silver Dazzler. Blue bitch, carrying a bit too much puppy fat for
her own good. Lovely head, eyes, ears and neck, good depth. Extra weight affects
her topline, balance and movement. When she fines down and comes into herself
she will do well. LD(1) 1 Moores' Manordeifi Shadow Chaser. Tri
in lovely coat and condition, pleasing head, full of expression, good forehand,
nice legs and feet, good shape, nice tail, moved and showed well. OD(3)
1 White's Foxearth Frappuccino. Nice Tri with lovely head and expression. He has
a most beautiful neck and outline and he is in such great condition. So well
presented and showed off at all times. His head is so well balanced with a good
muzzle and underjaw. Clean stop, flat skull, a lovely eye and expression topped
off by well placed ears. Good bone, legs and feet, excellent front and rear
angulation. Really drives round the ring and his handler gets the best from him
at all times. I could not have wished for more. He will give so much to the
breed. 2 Lister's Ch Eridor I'm Mr Blu At Newarp. Blue merle of lovely type.
Pleasing head, eye and expression. Correct in neck and outline and is a very
sound mover. He was well presented and shows his well placed ears to advantage.
He is a very worthy champion. A favourite of mine but on the day just couldn't
match the winner's enthusiasm. RBD. 3 Norman & Ratcliffe's Easy Listening At
Seanua. PGB(2, 1) 1 Moores' Manordeifi Silver Sparkle. Blue of
pleasing type. Excellent neck and outline. She has a clean head, good stop and
expression. In good coat and condition. She moved and showed well. LB(2,
1) 1 Benton's Alopex Marionette Of Oakestelle. Very feminine blue merle in super
condition. Really good conformation. Clean wedge head, moulded foreface. Good
stop, flat skull, nice eye. Stands and shows non stop, moves sound and free.
Very close decision. RBB. OB(1) 1 Griffiths' Alopex Little
Summer. Well made and typical smooth, excellent neck and front, well off for
bone and body, well angled and let down, balanced, feminine head with good eyes
and ears, enthusiastic on the move, which was sound and true.
