OPEN BITCH 1. LILYMEAD APPANACHE 2. LILYMEAD AMAZING GRACE

Open Show at Tomlinson's Kennels, Leicestershire on a beautiful sunny day. The venue is superb. Not a large entry, but a great pleasure. PGG (1) 1 French's Devern First Prime. Sable/white. Very friendly young dog. Medium size, well marked. Head handles well and movement very good. Not quite the bright colour of greats like Ch. Foxearth Gold Fever, but nevertheless a pleasing picture. RES BEST DOG. OD (2) 1 Lister's Ch.Eridor I'm Mr. Blue At Newarp. Very well known blue merle. Attractive markings with tan colour still bright. Up to size but no sign of coarseness. Head well-balanced and good expression. On the move, a joy to watch with plenty of drive. BOB. 2 Forbes' Ch. & Int. & Irish Ch. Pelghart Paint It Black At Willowhurst. I went over this dog when he was a puppy and he has achieved everything possible. Just would have liked a little more of the ears over, and perhaps a couple of pounds weight off. JB (1,1a) The young lady owning this very nice youngster missed the class, having been stuck in traffic. However, she did apologise, which I thought displayed good manners, something sadly lacking to-day. OB (2) 1 Burgess' Lilymead Appanachi. Tri whose markings do no favours. However, I found her ultra-feminine and so friendly. Fine head with correct ear placing and very attentive to owner. Correct body lines and free positive movement. Must be a pleasure to show (Res.BOB). 2 French's Lilymead Amazing Grace. Good coloured blue merle with markings well-broken. Not quite the appeal of 1 but very attractive.
