British Collie June 2009

(2) 1 Moores' Manordeifi Storm Breaker (RBD). I have judged this dog before and the same comments apply. Nice tri-colour dog which moved well. He has a nice head, sweet eye, and still has a jet black coat. He was unfortunate to be up against my Best Dog on the day. 2 Wallis' Norfield White Knight. Nice colour sable with good body shape and head. Erratic on the move so hard to assess, and tended to carry a gay tail. OD (2) 1 Wallis' Freejack First Knight At Norfield JW (BD). Tri colour with good body shape, good boning, and nice head. Would prefer a more almond shape eye. Movement was good but needs more ring training. 2 Moore's Manordeifi Solar Eclipse. 3 Another lovely tri with lovely head and eye. Good bone. Moved well. PB (1) 1 Wallis' Norfield Scarlet Rose (BPIB). A good sable colour with nice head and eye. Movement O.K. But nervous on being handled. JB (2) 1 Moore's Manordeifi Sweet Suzanna. 2 Tri colour with a good body shape. Nice head and eye. Well placed ears. Good movement. I hope she calms down with age. 3 Wallis' Norfield Scarlet Rose. PGB (2) 1 Moores' Manodeifi Penny Blue. 2 A pretty blue merle with good head and eye, good ears, and a nice body shape. Good movement 3 Griffith's Alopex Fine Provenance. A very nice tri colour with a good head. Well placed ears and a lovely long neck. Just thought her hind movement was not as good as 1. OB (3-1) 1 Moore's Manordeifi Silvadora (BB-BOB). Another one I have judged before. She has just got better with age.Good body shape and shoulder placement. Nice head and eye. Moved well. 2 Griffith's Alopex Out Of The Blue (RBB). The best blue colour of the day. Movement was good but I preferred the shape of 1. I would like to thank the BCC committee for inviting me to judge this show. Once again I apologise for being late. This was due to both heavy rain, and the dreaded 'SatNav' sending us on the shortest route not the quickest! So it took over 4 hours instead of 2 hrs.30 mins.
