Firstly, thank you to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge. I had a very enjoyable day with some lovely smooths and their owners, and it was a pleasure to judge clean and well presented dogs, each one gleamed, movement in the smooths is a pleasure to watch and I feel they have come a very long way. I also enjoyed the company of my co-judge DAVID ROE, and we agreed on all the final placings. B.I.S. The Rough bitch, Blake’s Corydon Rio Rita, 13 months sable in sparkling form, very glamorous, and the quality to match. Very sound and light on her feet, one I am sure will have a very bright future. RESERVE B.I.S. Griffiths’ Alopex Plum Lush. 4 year tri smooth bitch who pulled out all the stops. Lovely make and shape, with a nicely balanced head, good eye, neat ears, good neck, strong quarters, ample bone, neat tight feet, but the icing on the cake was her effortless movement, covered the ground with such ease. BEST OPPOSITE SEX IN SHOW AND BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. 1 Blake’s Demelewis Dark Moon Driftin’ Over Corydon. One of the nicest tricolour rough collie puppy dogs that I have seen from this Kennel in a long time – very promising, and so attentive to his handler, another with a bright future in front of him. P 1 Robinson’s Dawcher Dream Searcher. Gorgeous and loveable 6 months tricolour bitch, with everything where it should be. Lovely head, eye, neat ears, nicely moulded foreface giving a sweet expression, good neck, shoulders, length of back, ample bone, neat feet which enabled her to move out soundly for one so young. J 1 Hills Devern Fate A Compli. 2 Forbes Pelghart Pied Piper of Willowhurst. 1st a tri bitch, and 2nd a tri dog, both nicely made of good construction, clean heads, good quarters, in good coat, both moved out well. Just felt that 2nd was a little overloaded on the shoulder, hence not quite as positive on front movement as the bitch. PG 1 Griffiths Alopex Plum Lush - Res. B.I.S. 2 Merland Midnight Cascade of Sikilaa. O A lovely class, all three were very nice smooths and typical breed type. I liked all three, and no doubt they have changed places many times. 1 Robinson’s Hilltarn Valentine JW. Again, a very nicely made tri bitch. Nicely balanced with everything in the right place. Head handled well, well muscled and moved soundly. Res. B.O.B. 2 Alopex Going Equiped. Upstanding blue dog, good colour, and has a lot going for him, but unfortunately today, he just wished he was somewhere else. Sound mover. 3 Hill’s Ch. Devern Blue Silhouette, another beautiful blue bitch, looking every inch the Champion she is. Another who could move.
