Good depth overall. A few somewhat upright in shoulder. Several were a little slack on feet & pastern but perhaps due to recent hot weather when roadwork was not so regular.
PD (1) A. JD (4) 1 Swann’s Plaisance-George Le Beau at Swanndale, pleased on type & profile, good tailset & carriage, nice head & expression, good body & croup, sound, well placed quarters, moved soundly & well, promises well for the future; 2 Lusty’s Plaisance Family Man at Blamorder, very close up to 1 in most respects so was not surprised to see they are littermates. Balanced, sound & moved with great ease. Only real difference was tail carriage; 3 Howe’s Dawcher Dawn’s Sunrise. PGD (2) 1 Moores’ Manordeifi Shadow Chaser, well balanced overall, pleased on head & expression, good quarters, nice body & topline, well set & carried tail, excellent muscle, gave easy & sound action; 2 Page’s Norfield Oh What A Knight, littler larger cast overall. Nice head properties, good construction. Tail set & carried a little higher. Good jacket texture, easy mover. LD (6) Difficulty when judging this class, very strong wind affected ears. 1 Moores’ Manordeifi Storm Breaker, balanced, nice head, very expressive ears, good forehand & feet, well formed body, good rib, sound rear, pleasing mover; 2 Purvey’s Norfield Silver Knight for Freejack, well grown & very sound overall, pleasing expression, good quarters & nice brisket depth, moved soundly & with ease. Can firm up a little at pastern; 3 Hutchings’ Collidach Molloney Ta Tu You. OD (4) 1 Hayward’s Foxearth Felix Cited, what a good name for this fellow. Well balanced overall & so sound, good on head proportions & expression, well placed shoulder & good feet, nice body development, correct topline, good stifle & strong hock, moved so well with good tail carriage. CC & BOB; 2 Griffiths’ Alopex Matt Finnish, pushed 1 hard. Good on head & expression, nice forehand, well developed body, good topline, nice stifle & strong hocks, sound mover. RCC; 3 Davis’ Sharidon Anything Goes at Keenacre.
PB (3) 1 Rice’s Kingrock Adriel, very promising for the future. Good on head & expression, nice front & feet, body coming on well, good topline, pleasing stifle, moved well. BP; 2 Fort’s Mighty’s Spring Meadow Gift for Shulune, more bodily mature than 1 but not so collected on action. Good head proportions & expressive ears, nice quarters, moved with ease & showed very sound rear. JB (1) 1 McKenna & Bardill’s Plaisance Betty La Belle, pleased on head, eye & super called-for expression, good forehand, very pleasing shoulder proportions & angulation, body well on the way with pleasing topline. Good tail length & carriage, sound rear to give good action. PGB (7) Difficult class, due to various reasons. 1 Coates’ Alopex Blue Moon, well balanced overall, pleased on expression, nice clean forehand, good body & topline, sound rear, good stifle, moved well with nice tail carriage; 2 Giddings’ All That Jazz at Ryecombe, of good size & construction, good head & well used ears, nice forehand. Can come up on feet to advantage. Good body, rib & topline, stifle pleasing, easy mover; 3 Benton’s Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle. LB (4) 1 Lusty’s Juniperwood Dream Maker at Blamorder, still needing to fully mature but of such nice type & overall balance. Good head & expression, nice quarters & body, well held topline, good stifle & hock, gave sound & easy action; 2 Purvey’s Freejack A Touch Of Magic, good on head & expression, pleasing quarters, well bodied, strong topline, moved easily & well; 3 French & Hayward’s Foxearth Sticky Fingers. OB (7) Class assorted on action & some single-tracked. 1 Griffiths’ Alopex Out Of The Blue, stood out for her type & good hard working condition. Nice head & expression, well placed quarters, good muscletone, body pleased with called-for topline, moved with ease. CC; 2 Fort’s Ch Shulune Imperial Legacy, pleased on head, eye & super expression, nice forehand & feet, good body development, sound rear, pleasing action. RCC; 3 Hayward’s Ch Sandcastle’s All Dressed Up.
